I don't have nostalgia for anything quiet as much as fortnite. Looking back now (end of 2022, c4 s1), I haven't had nearly as much fun playing fortnite as I did in chapter 1 and 2 as I have in chapter 3 and 4. Fortnite has aged so poorly because they don't keep the things we love. They don't listen to their community anymore. Maybe it's just me as I grow up, and it has been 5 years since I started playing, but I am sad fortnite doesn't feel as fun as it used to.

STOP Greasy was just another town, anarchy was just another fatal in a worse location, factories would not be good in today’s game, dusty depot had 3 chests, moisty was dead, wailing served no purpose except to shelter defaults that don’t exist anymore, crates was garbage (enough said), flush is just like crates, and there is a reason jail isn’t a named location. rant over.

i remember when i played a single match on my macbook in 2018 and went to one of these shacks of hope, i then proceeded to stay there until i heard shooting outside and it was top 10, so i got out and i think it was near wailing woods, and i simply died to one person who died to another right after. good times, after that i didnt play until chapter 2 season 2 becuz i didnt have a single device to play the game on.

One of my first drops was there. Tons of people landed there. I didn't get a gun. I remember hiding while hearing players run around getting blasted by this guy with a shot gun. You'd hear multiple foot steps. Then a couple shotgun blast. Then just one set of footsteps. This would repeat multiple times. I managed to survive. It was so scary. An aspect of the game that is totally lost for me now
