I survived 100 Days in Hardcore Minecraft in THE END, this is what happened...

That's an interesting idea, but I feel like end wood would almost make it TOO livable. The end is supposed to be a very barren and unforgiving environment. I would prefer a new structure that contains a crafting table, rather than a new wood type to craft it. Maybe there could also be a new mob that drops sticks, or a new end plant that could be crafted into sticks, for the ability to make tools.

even without a tree, just a single crafting table would make the difference! you could make anvils, use the diamonds to make better armor and tools, make slabs or glass panes. Even just a single crafting table at your house would fix so much stress.

14:55 "why do these end city have beet seeds in the chests?" Beet seeds were added in update 0.8, however, you had to travel long distances into unloaded chunks at a time were horses didn't exist just to find the seeds, so when the ender update came out (version 1.0) they added beet seeds to the end city chests so that players could more easily find them

I don't see anyone else making this suggestion, but what if you allowed yourself just one day on the overworld to gather as many resources as you could and then return to the end? Sure there wouldn't be much of an end goal, but could be interesting to see what you could make with just a day of resources in the end.

late reply, but i feel that takes away from the inherent appeal of the challenge. i'm currently trying to survive the void platform, and even though there's a 90% chance it's straight up not possible i wouldn't want to give myself anything because the point is seeing how far you can go with JUST the things provided. in short a challenge is best when it's challenging

It might be fun to continue the playthrough but remove the End restriction. Just go back to the overworld and take a breath of fresh air as you cut down your first tree, and eat something other than chorus fruit. Then eventually you can go back to your End house and appreciate how far you've come.

The funny part is, Mojang probably will give the end a more livable update. Possibly sometime soon. Because if they want to add new dimensions, they have to revamp the End. Also, the Deep Dark kinda feels like a pocket End, but that's yet to be determined until Snapshots start rolling out.
