Yeah, last time she saw him, I believe, it was when he was 5, so it's been a very long time since she's seen him. So it's easy to see why she wouldn't recognize him right away. Turnabout is fair play, Rudy, lol. Poor Sylphie was worried about that at the first part of this season, and she would've been crushed if Rudy hadn't recognized her. It is very cute to see Rudy regress to a little boy when he's around Rudy. To him, that's his teacher who saved his life, and he can't even fathom being in a different kind of relationship other than that right now.

Although Paul admitted he had no concrete proof, their gut feeling was that the labyrinth guardian was nearby. In Asura, where Paul and his family come from, polygamy is common, especially among nobles. The Greyrats are one of the most powerful noble families, second only to the Royal Family. Paul's comment about having two swords reflects the norm in their society, which might seem strange to us but is perfectly normal there. Interestingly, in the MT world, it's taboo to have intercourse while pregnant, which is one reason Lilia could seduce Paul so easily. If you recall the last episode of season 1, it’s evident how much Paul cares for Lilia and Aisha, just as he does for Zenith, Norn, and Rudy. While our society often judges polygamy harshly, many viewers quickly label Paul as a scumbag without considering the context of his world. Yes, he made mistakes in his youth, but the essence of Mushoku Tensei is about characters learning and growing from their past. Paul has evolved into a man who prioritizes his family's well-being over his own desires. He even vowed to stay celibate until he found Zenith, breaking this vow only once to save his life from succubus poison by sleeping with Lilia, his other wife. It’s important to judge Paul within the context of his world rather than our own. The anime added a brilliant analogy with his precious swords-both high-quality, well-maintained weapons. One of them is even enchanted with unique properties, which I hope we’ll see more of soon. Paul's journey is one of redemption and growth, which makes his character so compelling. Despite his flaws, his dedication to his family and his efforts to overcome his past mistakes highlight his development into a better person.

One thing that they skipped on Roxy's and Rudy's conversation was that Roxy was impressed that Rudy had learned the Emperor level Water spell Absolute Zero, refering to all the monsters that were frozen at once to save her. And Rudy said that it wasn't, that it was an Advanced level spell, but it's due to the amount of mana that he put into that spell that it turned out to be that powerful

15:40 Paul had expected Rudeus to have two wives by the time the boy was nine. Sylphie was being educated to be his wife (at her own request) by Zenith and Lilia, while Philip corresponded with Paul about his plan to have Rudeus marry Eris. When Rudeus met Paul in Millishion, he not only thought the plan had come to fruition, but that Rudeus had already consummated with Eris. Rudeus' surprise at hearing about the exchanges their fathers had been having clued Paul in on him being mistaken. Polygamy is seen as the norm in their society, if the man has the resources to support his spouses. And there is no limit mentioned anywhere. The Millis Church is the only established religion that hard caps marriage partners to one, even if divorce is allowed. Zenith's family are staunch believers, and so is Norn.
