I've bought a re usable bag and it works great making sure the bag goes over the lip on the black pipe inside henry it's fine

Good call. :-) BTW: when washing it, for the environment, no actual need to use soap, and you can do it with a 15 minutes wash.

I just machine washed at 40 degrees my Henry cloth filter on a 30 minute wash for the first time and it works despite on Google, saying you can't. This is the cloth filter bag not the one that looks like a tea bag.

Yep on the reusable bags we recommend 30c wash and to hang dry it on washing line. Yeh the standard “tea bag” type are a man made material that won’t enjoy a wash lol

250ml of neat bleach once a month on a cold cycle, so as not to affect the potency of the bleach, then run the machine with nothing inside on the hottest cycle with no detergent (just 90 degrees) to wash out any residual bleach@charleswhite758

Henry Hoover TV demoed one and it leaked dust onto the filter, the square piece doesn't have the same grip as Hepaflow bags

Not seen that but will take a look. There are different brands of these so not sure how they all compare. The one we sell on our site has received nothing but great reviews so far 🤷🏽‍♂️

The dust gets stuck on the inside of the reusable bags badly and make it impossible to remove enough for making a wash any use. I will wash by hand as its not economical or envrionmentally friendly to use a washing machine for one item. Plus it could damage the machine with so much muck getting put into the drum. I will endeavour to wash by hand

Great tip. Yes I guess it’s not something you would want to wash with your best clothes too. We all have to watch our electricity consumption nowadays too. I was mine with rags and cloths that I use for car cleaning. A friend of mine has 2 reusable bags. He uses one in the vacuum and hoovers out the dust from the old one before washing. Also means that he can use Henry still whilst the old one is being washed and dried.

@@HenryBags I've hand washed the bag and hung it to dry. It was filthy. I turned it inside out first and brushed off a lot of the fluff and dust with a stuff brush. I imagine you can also wash the filters with care too. All but the water with soap in was used on the garden plants as we have a drought here

Erm, wouldn't that negate the point of buying a bagged vacuum? If I wanted to 'reuse' the dust chamber (or bag in this case) and re-release the dust back into the atmosphere, I would have bought a bagless machine in the first place.

It’s to save people money when there are more important things these days. By all means if people still want to use disposable bags that’s fine… I’m not saying they can’t.
