By the time this happened, it was a different set of management and ultimately an internal decision. If Activision never asked they probably wouldn't have made these decisions as fast, but really they had to have known what they were getting into when they partnered with Activision.

Actually, I think that those extra classes were the subclasses. They must have changed it later on, making it so that these other classes would actually be implemented into the first 3 classes.

We were originally supposed to get a 4th, class “necromancer” before it got cut for being to similar to a warlock. So it could have been for that.

The game they were talking about in these Vidoc videos sounded like a Masterpiece but it is completely ruined. It is still fun and addicting but far from an actual GOOD game.

MuscledRMH a game that keeps you playing is a good game. Personally, the gamplay and AI is the best I've ever played in a shooter. The setback for me is the lack of content, but the game is still fun and I enjoy it. The story is lackluster, but how much can an mmo-esque game focusing on replayability on a console capture four different races, four storylines, four planets, and four different concepts entirely; it is too hard to do unless bungie delayed the release for a long number of years which would enfuriate the player base. It's a trade off that bungie made : would rather play now and enjoy the game that grows overtime or rather wait five years for a more complete game but have players angry at the delay.

321puca Seriously. I understand why everyone is so angry now. I'm one of the people that saw an AD for the final version of Destiny and thought it was amazing right away. I still have no regrets buying the game but watching this trailer and seeing all the things we could've had makes me a little sad. Bungie really did have a solid game.

Also, a lot of times things that are made before a game gets released are sometimes used for something else. Plans change, new ideas come up, something could get trashed and come back later, etc. That's how game development is.

And yeah it's obvious game was cut to pieces and mashed like potato. We had King's Watch on all the maps before release, we had it in-game inside beta, and still it was cut to be released in first DLC. Just one of dozens examples of how the game was cut of content then to be released as DLC.

Look Joe Staten’s story may have not been in the final game, but that doesn’t mean he is the one responsible for bungie’s success, everyone at bungie made it happen. Bungie is a great company.

+KRYMauL May as well chuck in my 2 cents they said the story was confusing which was really what halos story was a easy to understand story is no fun i would have preferred the confusing one like they had said then what we actually got. But bungie have apparently (According to a leak) hired new writers for the second game and in this trailer it shows a hologram of some sorts at 3:35 it looks like the light house kind of looking place the leak claimed destiny 2 would have a big part on mercury. The parts of the leak about the taken king were mostly true so i am going to believe the sake of what i am about to say. Is it possible that they are going to reuse some of the old story parts for the next game it seems to show based of one clip but thats all it is one clip. Still interesting and something to think about though

I was just about to comment this. With their lead writer leaving they must have axed a LARGE portion of the game and redid the story line. And if they start releasing most of the story in extra cost DLCs imma be pissed.

I mean, everything they showed in the two vidocs never acutally showed up in the game. Like the interactive cutscenes with the speaker, the explanation of the story by npcs in the world, the intresting layout and map designs reminiscent of halo. WTF.

And dividing the player base it which is never a good thing. I'm done with destiny, the moment activision came into the picture, Destiny's potential was forever stunted. And paying for content that they should have had in the first place. As long as gamers support this, and destiny does well, this business strategy will bleed into other games that we love. exactly, this game has so much potential gone to waste .

***** Its strange that they pitched this game as this huge universe with an amazing plot, but ultimately it feels rather shallow. You never see the "Wall" that the Guardians defend getting attacked or something, getting a ship means nothing, it only shows up during loading screens and cinematics. No trading of any kind, really? in an MMO? I get a bunch of item copies I wish I could trade with other people. Everything feels like it was cut in half and either postponed for future DLC or the eventual sequel. Ive been playing Bungie games since the 90s with Marathon and Myth, but they didn't hit it big until Halo, but Destiny clearly shows that Bungie is losing it.

Bungie is starting to pull through. And with the Sony money they might be able to deliver more dlc’s with Witch Queen quality. They are really setting the bar high and I cant wait to see what comes next. HOPE FOR THE FUTURE
