Sunderland rolling out the red carpet for us was a sight to remember and will go down in history as one of the biggest fxck ups in football rivalry cheer up Sunderland. 😂 #NUFC
I think you should get an award for "keeping a straight face" whilst reporting on a hilarious story. The excitement of the owners in welcoming a big club must've been too much for them. I'm just surprised there wasn't a video of them peeing in their pants.
For a half a million quid, the Mackems can sport a bloody nose for a weekend. Football is a business there is no escaping that. They made money, and their pride has no place on the balance sheets. It could get a lot worse as Dortmund found out a few years ago when they were threatened with bankruptcy and bitter rivals Bayern Munich had to open the wallet to extend some charity. Dortmund are around these days due to Bayern's generosity. Sundland fans can learn not to make a big deal out of a black and white decoration for a weekend. By the way, congrats to all the Mackems for getting a report from Mr. Keith Downie who is forced to cover your club because you are playing the mighty Mags.
OMG you *nailed* it. I mean, our average attendance is 5k more than Leeds, 9k more than Leicester, 11k more than Southampton, 12k more than Ipswich, 14k more than Boro, 15k more than Norwich, Sheff Wed, 16k more than Coventry, a mere 24k more than Millwall, only 30k more than Rotherham. And all without Saudi oil money. Trust me, we don't need our bar decked out in anyone else's colours. Whoever decided this can't do maths, so probably a "mighty Mag". Lol.
Utterly fucking disgraceful, disgusting, deplorable to think any Sunderland fan would be OK with the black and white shite making themselves at home in our fucking church. Absolute slap in the face for any Sunderland fan.
@@StephenSmall-sf5um you know more than me about NUFC, tell me what decade was your last domestic honour? A) 50s, B) 40s or C) 30s? Ask your great grandad
Well if Newcastle don't get to the next round and Sunderland AFC get this money in and don't have to pay for any vandalising of the Black Cats Bar then... Sunderland then say thanks for the money NU .. Because by next week the Black cats bar will be back to normal. and now it's going to be neutural decor for one game only as opposed to a Black and white out... May the best team win Score prediction NOBODY KNOWS
You summed the situation up excellent, this was an administrive blunder of enormous scale and as a fan of more the 50 years standing I was angy and wholly dissapointed by this. However, the reaction by some of our fans has been frnkly embarrasing. Any true supporter will never say they won't go back again, only part timers. There has been several STUPID comments on Total Sport such as releasing the name and address of the person responsible on Social media, the person responsible should stand in the centre circle before kick off and apologise, liking it with desicrating a war memorial, and by the way the person saying that also complained about some exsisting wall decoration put up ages ago by Sunderland !!!!!! Obviously never been to his 'beloved' Black Cats bar in his life. As I said Embarrasing as a small amount of our fan always arere whenever something happens. Its done now so lets move on and make sure we have the last laugh tommorow. FTM.
Imagine the joy it would bring us Toon fans if he stood in the centre circle before kick off and "apologised"? Just feeding us more. I think they should pause the game with 20 minutes to go when there are none of you left after you have deserted your team so whoever was responsible can take the applause from us. That's a win win situation. P.s, in the name of banter, if this comment doesn't age well, I will leave it up. should you somehow escape a hammering, and a miracle happens, I will not hide. Fill yah boots SMB.
No no no no. The 2 cities are 10 miles apart. Fans from both clubs work in the same places, many have family which have fans from both clubs. Once the 90 minutes are over there will be bragging rights claimed by one set of fans and will heap misery on the other for months if not years later. The Tyne-Wear derby is one of, if not the most intense rivalries in English football.
@@ClaggyPants I’m originally from Bath, and the Bristol City/Bristol Rovers (13 miles) derby was a rivalry, so on Tyneside it should be multiplied by 100
just as we takeover there crappy bar we will takeover there stadium on and off the pitch !! ha ha COM ON THE TOON who ever get the sack for doing it already has a job at stjames park :)

65 quid a game normally how was that so hard to find out I do not believe average fans would pay 600 quid to safc more like the Saudis have paid for it you are just guessing
