Sounds like a jealous uneducated person here. Ford is doing the right thing. Sale to Genz and Millennials.. cause tgey want vehicles like this. Why Ford is number 1. Don't have to like it but downing them for being smarter then you is jealously. 😂
Reminds me of what they did here in the USA with the EV called the Mustang Mach E, it is a horrible horrible piece of carp. Nobody is buying them at all.
Ford has proven to last longer then any other Car maker. If you don't like them just say that. Because calling it shitty just shows your jealous of them.
@@lincolnls0416 Nah, we ain't jealous, we are saying how it is, Ford may had last long, but the way they are going they won't last for long, Ford only last that long because they had best and competent people working them, now they don't, so nice try with that there
@bradwhite5884 GMs holds the record most broken junk. Dodge is almost tied with GM. Ford is number in sales every year. So they will never go anywhere. Next yes you and people hate Ford's are super jealous. Only jealous people talk the way you do. FACTS MIC DROP.
GM has been so desperate that they are closely to lose to Toyota and Hyundai. GM have 4 door Vettes and SUV Camaro designs. GM is trying to go all 100% EV. Ford is keep V8s and V6s. Ford is also trying to keep Hybrids. Ford is out saling lot of the competition. Came out late with EVs but gaining heavy on Tesla. These younger generations only want EVs and SUVs. So Ford is hitting that mark very well. Not desperate it's called baby Boomers and us GenX will not be around after 20yrs or 30yrs. So you have to market for the Millennials and genz.
@@lincolnls0416 I am in that young demographics, and I don't want an inflated big SUV's that all look the same on paper as well as I don't want some useless EV's that requires hours to charge when I just want something to fill up quick and have days left in the tank, also I'd want more coupé, sports cars, saloons, hatchbacks, estates that are sporty looking but affordable and reliable at the same time, what Ford, GM and Stellantis are doing is the wrong direction no one wants these and those who want them don't want them for the name but to be eco-friendly or don't even bothered buying them, I'd rather go Japanese then anything made in the EU or US tbh
@bradwhite5884 you were raised right then. Mostly that's what younger people want though. Wish we had the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and few of the 90s vehicles back.
@@lincolnls0416 Yeah, love all those types of cars, especially from the early 2000's and some in the 2010's, but also love some from the 1930's, 1920's and 1910's, any old cars I'd love because it shows there's love and respect gone into them, the newer ones feels soulless and manufactured (even though they all been manufactured, but I don't mean that kind of manufactured), feels like cars now are made to fill a criteria and aren't reliable and breaks down easily, not last longing like the old ones, the car scrappage scheme was a scam and ruined the new driver market as well as prices for old cars tbh, so yeah
Ford had the chance to revive an iconic coupe for the electric era and got it wrong. When Honda got the same chance with the new Prelude, they got it right.
@@CadanHartleyElliott I'd love to see the Capri as a sports coupé that sits below the Mustang and affordable like the Focus and the Fiesta, don't want the Capri be electric, I'm fine with an petrol, diesel or a hybrid engine, not fully electric tbh, they fumbled like they did with the Puma and ending production on the Fiesta, the Mondeo and soon the Focus, so yeah
It’s just a disgrace. Fair enough come up with new models of car and share VW EV platforms if you must, but calling this a Capri is not just a joke it’s utter sacrilege.
They were thinking about how their gl0b@l@ist masters told them to go ALL EV or go out of business. They have their orders from TPTB and are following them to the letter.
If it had a new name I’d judge it as a new car. Call it a Capri and first impression is disappointment. Massive own goal from the marketing department. Terrible choice, Ford.
Ford has these default designs ready to go. This car wasn’t inspired in nothing. They do this, cause it’s cheaper to create a story around a default design, than actually paying a team to create a car from scratch.
I wish Ford would stop defiling iconic ford's by putting their names on junk like this. We didn't by the original capri because it was called a capri. We bought it because it had character, looked great, and had a choice of engines and was FUN to drive.
Yet another monstrosity that's been given an iconic name to try and sell it. What a pathetic marketing strategy. A Mustang that is not and never will be one and now a Capri that isn't a Capri in any way whatsoever!
The New Bronco failed as well, it's riddled with issues and quality problems to this day, and the price is so outrageous only a few can buy them, it's a failure.
Sadly Honda have just launched the Prelude which is the car the new Capri should have been. A no nonsense sporty coupe that is driver focused and has a internal combustion engine.
Back. In the day, my 2nd car was a red 1969 Ford Capri 1600 GT, my 3rd was a White 1970 Ford Capri GT V6 Bathurst beautifully designed cars. What's going on in the world today, this new interpretation is an abomination 😢
Well all I can say to Ford is, if this is your idea of bringing back a legend, don't ever do another GT40. And whatever you do to this retake on a 'legend' please don't add insult to injury by sticking an RS badge on it.
I dont know what ford were thinking putting the name Capri on this thing !!!!! Back in 1969 there was capri for everyones budget from the 1300 version right up through the engine range. I wonder what name they have given the paint colour i hope its not daytona yellow!!!!! Whats going to be next an Anglia 105 E, Escort 1300 E or a Cortina 2000 E with the E standing for electric.
If you bringing the Capri back, bring it as a coupé version of the Focus or Fiesta, or a coupé thats around those price range and sits under the Mustang, this isn't the way to do, and my dad buys Ford's cars tbh
Legend on VW platform 😃 I liked FORD, but looks like they try to make fast something new and electric, and its sad that they stop producing cars like Mondeo...
How is this a capri? It’s an ok car but doesn’t look or feel like a capri, ford you don’t need to relaunch the names of old models just come up with something new that more suites the car. A new capri would be fine but make it be a sporty coupe that actually looks like the old one not just a random car that you call a revival of the capri
Getting rid of the Focus, Fusion (US Only), Fiesta, Mondeo and such was a huge mistake tbh, the Capri could of been a cheap sports coupé for everyman, an everyman's Mustang that cannot afford the Mustang and should fit under the Mustang, but nope, we did not, so yeah
Why did nobody at Ford think to design a car that looked like Capri, just with some 2020s styling updates and electric motors? Just think how much luggage you could get under that long bonnet. Nobody wants yet another dull SUV.
Marketing must be working overtime to try and make this lump look cool! How can they lean so heavily on the real Capri when it's a completely different type of car. Nobody who actually buys one will know anything of the original and nobody who does know the original, won't buy one. At least it's not as ugly as the bile inducing Mustang Mach-E. The legend is back, where I can't see it. 🤦♂️
I had a Capri and it was terrible in every respect. Aside from the quality issues, one had to be a gymnast to get it and out of the thing. Also, I get pretty tired of these corporate “presenters” doing the Steve Jobs imitations. Sad.
This is just as bad as the Mach-e and Eclipse Cross. Two iconic names destroyed by bean counters that think a name alone will sell. We Brits and our German friends know what a real Capri is. Hell, I'd take the Aussie Mazda based Capri over this bland box of another generic SUV.
