There are two possibilities that prophecy could go awry: either the past lied to you, or the future lied to you.

@@glenanleitner2606 Believe in HASHEM ? All the word "HASHEM" Means, is " THE NAME." The use of THE NAME, sounds so impersonal, and Distant. All because your all afraid of blasphemy, if you say HIS name wrong... Why would a close friend who loves you so dearly, and cares about you ? Throw you under a bus for you mistakenly using his name wrong....? But hey He Loves You....lol As for Repentance... That's a "WORK".... Do you really think that anything you say or do ? Can save your soul.... It's not by Works alone...lest any man boast in his self.... See look what I did... I repented, or My repentance... God moves on His own time table....not ours.... Thank you Rabbi Michael Skobac for taking time to review the book of revelation. This is the book that the Seventh-day Adventists believed they have been given the gift of prophecy through the book written by Ellen G White entitled EGW’s interpretation of Daniel and Revelation which foretell the end of days and the second coming of the messiah. I pray that you will give the Christians light on this very alarming gift of prophecy. Ellen G White is a self proclaimed prophet who saw visions that eventually set the foundation of Seventh-day Adventists beliefs. She proclaimed through her vision the date of Jesus 2nd coming on October of 1844 which unfortunately didn’t happen. That great disappointment led her to believe that Jesus being the high priest entered into the most holy place in the sanctuary which eventually became a new doctrine, the heavenly sanctuary doctrine. This new doctrine rectified the 1844 great disappointment prophecy. Is there suppose to be another prophet after the prophets of the Old Testament?

@Iyas kelu brother, did you know that the Christian Old Testament is the sacred scripture of the Hebrews? And did you know that the jews know exactly what their scripture says word for word? And did you know that Christians translated the Hebrew holy scripture and molested, raped, and mistranslated to comport pagan worship? Did you know that these mistranslations are insult to God and the people whom God entrusted His holy word? Did you know that new testament authors falsified old testaments texts to conform to their ideology, creed, and false doctrines? If there is unity of truth in the New Testament why are there so many Christian religions believe in the new testament yet their beliefs differ and their doctrine do not agree with each other? If the New Testament is really true why christian religions disagree in many aspect of their theology? It is because Christianity is an invention of the pagan world. Rabbis are not desperate, they just feel insulted because their holy scriptures has been mistranslated.

Wouldn't messiah represent the truth of God. And what's the inherent characteristic of truth? A proposition is equivalent to the negation of it even proves it. In symbols that would be p=(~p => p). This is easy to work out in a truth-table. Or you can plug this equation into a truth-table generator. So if truth is expressed in messiah's life, then even his death will cause him to live; he will rise from the dead. I would think that Jews, of all people, would understand this, whose almost complete destruction only led to them returning as a nation.

I don't agree blood is correlated with atonement in the OT. I don't agree with any sacrifices though and this was not the purpose Jesus said his death was a ransom which is a price paid to a kidnapper and not about sin. Leviticus 17:11, “For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood by reason of the life that makes atonement.” Atonement is a cleansing, a removal of sin.

Wouldn't messiah have to prove that he is sincerely devoted to righteousness? And how does anyone do that? Does he prove his devotion by indulging in pleasure? Does he prove his love by killing others? No, it's inevitable that the messiah should continue good deeds even in spite of threats and persecution. No doubt then that messiah will suffer for the cause of love to prove his sincere devotion to doing good. No doubt he will give his all for what is right. Isn't that the reason God will greatly exalt him? Isn't that the reason that even the gentiles will honor him? Isn't that why loving messiah redeems the soul? And about whom in all of history can we possibly say that?

That exegesis is something that you pull out if you want to plug Jesus into that role. How does the future Messiah demonstrate his fealty to God? By carrying out his will. By obeying his commandments. And most importantly, by judging the nations and making sure that everyone else does the same. I think what maybe very helpful for you if I may suggest something with a heart full of love. Spend the next 6 months learning some basic Hebrew. It's very easy to sound out Hebrew letters but learning words is more difficult like any other language. But in 6 months you can get a good handle on some basic words, how gender changes the use of language, tense and pronouns and prepositions. Then pick any fulfillment citation. I always like to tell people to start with Matthew 123 because that's how he starts. Read Isaiah 7 from beginning to end in Hebrew and then all your questions are immediately answered about whether the Greek Testament is reliable document or not. With love.

@@davidkatz341 You are suggesting that we get back to basics. I agree. The problem is that you are not suggesting we get back to basics far enough. We need to start from the very beginning. How do you define God? Why are these laws so just? As far as that goes, why a temple, why and altar, why sacrifice? I think you are only looking on the surface of things when there is a much deeper understanding to be gained. God is that which upholds truth, which enables reason to ensure that the universe is maintained as a consistent set of facts. And truth is that which corresponds to reality; God is that which directs the course of all events. So we should expect that the character of truth will be manifest and exhibited in history, especially in religious matters. So the question we should be asking is what is the nature and character of truth. The character of truth is such that any attempt to negate it still proves that it is true. And this is what we should expect of religious events. God created the universe out of nothing. Israel became a nation out of slavery. Sacrifice pleases God. The new heaven and earth will come after the old universe is destroyed. And Messiah will reign in glory after suffering unto death. This is simply the nature of truth that we should expect to be revealed.

@@mikejurney9102 Mike that's a wonderful theory except it is found nowhere in the Hebrew scriptures. Nowhere. So it doesn't matter what you think or how you theorize. Maybe we can find some common ground. Do you believe that the Bible is the in there into word of God? So when I say Bible I mean the Hebrew scripture. Do you also believe that the Greek scriptures the Greek Testament is also the inner report of God? EXPLANATION OF REVELATION 12 (Woman clothed in the sun with the moon under her feet). “Mystical city of God” - Mary of Agreda, catholic mystic 94. The literal version of that chapter of the Apocalypse is as follows: “And a great sign appeared in heaven: A woman clothed with the sun and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars: And being with child, she cried travailing in birth, and was in pain to be delivered. And there was seen another sign in heaven; and behold a great red dragon having seven heads and ten horns; and on his head seven diadems. And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven and cast them to the earth and the dragon stood before the woman, who was ready to be delivered; that, when she should be delivered, he might devour her son. And she brought forth a man-child, who was to rule all nations with an iron rod; and her son was taken up to God, and to his throne. And the woman fled into the wilderness where she had a place prepared by God, that there they should feed her a thousand two hundred and sixty days. And there was a great battle in heaven; Michael and his angels fought with the dragon and the dragon fought and his angels. And they prevailed not, neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the dragon was cast out, that old serpent, who is called the devil and satan, who seduceth the whole world; and he was cast unto the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. And I heard a loud voice saying: Now is come salvation and strength, and the kingdom of our Cod and the power of his Christ; because the accuser of our brethren is cast forth, who accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of the testimony, and they loved not their lives unto death. Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you that dwell therein. Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil is come down unto you, having a great wrath and knowing that he hath but a short time. And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth he persecuted the woman, who brought forth the man-child: And there were given to the woman two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the desert unto her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the face of the serpent. And the serpent cast out of his mouth after the woman, water as if it were a river, that he might cause her to be carried away by the river. And the earth helped the woman and the earth opened her mouth and swallowed the river, which the dragon cast out of his mouth. And the dragon was angry against the woman and went to make war with the rest of her seed, who keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. And he stood upon the sands of the sea. 95. Such are the words of the Evangelist. He speaks in the past, because at that time was shown to him a vision of that which had already happened. He says: “And a great sign appeared in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun and the moon under her feet and on her head a crown of twelve stars.” This sign appeared really in the heavens by divine disposition and was shown to the good and the bad angels, in order that seeing it, they might subject their will to the pleasure and the commands of God. They saw it therefore before the good ones chose the good and before the bad ones had turned to evil. It was as it were a mirror of the wonderful perfection of the handiwork of God in creating human nature. Although He had already revealed this perfection to the angels in making known to them the mystery of the hypostatic union, yet He wished to reveal it to them also in a different manner by showing it to them in a mere Creature, the most perfect and holy which, next to the humanity of our Lord, He was to create. It was also a sign for the assurance of the good angels and for confusion of the bad, since it manifested to them that in spite of the offense which was committed, God would not let the decree of creating man be unfulfilled, and that the incarnate Word and this Woman, his Mother, would please Him infinitely more than the disobedient angels could ever displease Him. This sign was also like the rainbow, which appeared after the flood in the clouds of heaven, as a guarantee that even if men should sin like the angels and become disobedient, they were not to be punished like the angels without remission, but would be furnished with salutary medicine and remedy by this wonderful sign. It was as if God said to the angels: I will not chastise in the same way the other creatures which I call into my existence, because this Woman, in whom my Onlybegotten is to assume flesh, belongs to that race. My Son shall be the Restorer of friendship and the Pacifier of my justice; He shall open the way to the felicity, which sin would close. 96. In further testimony of this, after the punishment of the disobedient angels, God made use of the sign in order to show that his anger, which the pride of Lucifer had occasioned, was appeased and placated. And according to our way of understanding, He rejoiced in the presence of the Queen thus represented in that image. He gave the angels to understand that, through Christ and his Mother, He would now divert upon men the grace which the apostates had lost through their rebellion. There was also another effect of that great sign among the good angels; namely, that since they had been, as it were, made sorrowful and made unhappy (speaking according to our way of understanding) the Most High now wished to rejoice them with the sight of that image and to increase their essential beatitude by this accidental pleasure merited by their victory over Lucifer. Seeing this Woman so full of clemency (Esther 4, 11), appearing to them as a sign of peace, they understood at once that the decree of punishment was not issued against them, since they had obeyed the precepts of the Lord and his divine will. Much of the mysteries and sacraments of the Incarnation, and those of the Church militant and its members, were made manifest to them in this sign. They understood also, that they were to assist and help the human race, by watching over men, by defending them against their enemies and by leading them to eternal felicity. They saw that they themselves would owe their felicity to the merits of the incarnate Word and that the Creator had preserved them also in grace through Christ preordained in the divine Mind. 97. Just as all this was a great joy and happiness for the good angels, so it was a great torment for the evil spirits. It was to the latter a part and the beginning of their punishment. For they saw at once, that having failed to profit by this sign, they were to be conquered and crushed by it (3, 15). All these mysteries, and many others, which I cannot explain, the Evangelist wished to comprehend in this chapter, and include in that great sign; although for us it will remain obscure and, enigmatic until the proper time arrives. 98. The sun, which is mentioned as clothing the Woman, is the true Sun of Justice. The angels were to understand by it, that the Most High was to remain with this Woman by his grace in order to overshadow and defend Her by the protection of his invincible right hand. The moon was beneath her feet; for as the two planets, the sun and the moon, divide night and day, therefore the moon, being the symbol of the darkness of sin, is beneath her feet, and the sun, being the symbol of the light of grace, clothes Her for all eternity. Thus also the deficiencies of grace in all mortals must be beneath her feet, and never must rise either to her soul or to her body, which on the contrary were to be ever superior to all angels and men. She alone was to be free from the darkness and the warnings of Lucifer and of Adam, treading them under foot without their being able to gain any advantage over Her. And just as She rose above all the guilt and the effects of original and of actual sin, God now placed these in a symbolical manner under her feet, in order that the good angels might know, and the bad ones, (though they did not attain full knowledge of the mysteries), might fear this Woman even before She came into actual existence. 99. The crown of twelve stars are evidently all the virtues, with which that Queen of heaven and earth was to be adorned. But the mystery of its being composed of twelve stars has reference to the twelve tribes of Israel, by which all the elect and the predestined are designated, as is mentioned in the seventh chapter of the Apocalypse by the Evangelist (Apoc. 7, 4). And since the gifts, graces and virtues of all the elect were to crown their Queen in a most eminent and exalted degree, a crown of twelve stars was placed around her head. 100. “And being with child.” In the presence of all the angels, for the rejoicing of the good and for the punishment of the evil ones, who resisted the divine will and the fulfillment of these mysteries, it became manifest that the three Persons of the blessed Trinity had selected this wonderful Woman as the Mother of the Onlybegotten of the Father. And since the dignity of the mother of the Word was the principal beginning and foundation of all the great excellences of this great Mistress and of this her symbol, She was shown to the angels as being the resting place of the holy Trinity, represented in the divine personality of the Word incarnate. For on account of their inseparable union and coexistence, all the three Persons could not fail to be there, wherever anyone of Them was present; although only the Person of the Word assumed human flesh and with Him alone was She pregnant.

101. “She cried travailing in birth.” Although the dignity of this Queen and of that mystery was to be hidden in the beginning in order that God might be born humble, poor and unknown: yet afterwards the news of that Birth was proclaimed so loudly, that its first echo excited King Herod and filled him with uneasiness. It drew the Magi from their palaces and kingdoms in order to find Him (Matth. 2, 3). Some hearts were touched with fear, others moved to interior affection. The Fruit of this birth, growing until it was raised on the Cross, gave such loud voices, that It was heard from the rising to the setting sun (John 12, 32), and from farthest north to farthest south (Rom. 10, 18). So far then was heard the voice of that Woman who gave birth to the Word of the eternal Father. 102. “And was in pain to be delivered.” He does not say this because She was to give birth in bodily pain, for that is not possible in this divine Parturition. But because it was to be a great sorrow for that Mother to see that divine Infant come forth from the secrecy of her virginal womb in order to suffer and die as a victim for the satisfaction of the sins of the world. For this Queen could know and did know all this beforehand by her knowledge of the holy Scriptures. On account of the natural love of such a Mother for such a Son, She must be deeply afflicted thereby, although in subjection to the will of God. In this pain was also foreshadowed the sorrow of this most gentle Mother at the thought of being deprived of the presence of her Treasure, after He should have issued from her virginal womb; for although her soul always enjoyed his presence as to his Divinity, yet She was to be a long time without his bodily presence, according to which He was exclusively her Son. The Most High had determined to exempt Her from guilt, but not from the labors and sorrows corresponding to the reward, which was prepared for Her. Thus the sorrows of this birth were not the effect of sin, as they are in the descendants of Eve, but they were the effect of the intense and perfect love of the most holy Mother for her divine Son. All these mysteries were motives of praise and admiration for the good angels and the beginning of punishment for the bad angels. 103. “And there was seen another sign in heaven ; and behold a great red dragon having seven heads and ten horns; and on his head were seven diadems, and his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and cast them to the earth.” Thereupon followed the punishment of Lucifer and his allies; for after uttering his blasphemies against the Woman, who had been symbolized in the heavenly sign, he found himself visibly and exteriorly transformed from a most beautiful angel into a fierce and most horrid dragon. He reared with fury his seven heads, that is, he led on the seven legions or squadrons of all those that followed and fell with him. To each principality or congregation of these followers he gave a head, commanding them to sin on their own account and undertake the leadership in the seven mortal sins, which are commonly called capital. For in these are contained the other sins and they constitute as it were the regiments that rise up against God. They are the sins called pride, envy, avarice, anger, luxury, intemperance and sloth. They are the seven diadems with which Lucifer, after being changed into a dragon, was crowned. This is the punishment with which he was visited by the Most High and which he acquired as a return for his horrible wickedness for himself and for his confederate angels. To all of them were apportioned the punishment and the pains, which corresponded to their malice and to the share which they had in originating the seven capital sins. 104. The ten horns were the triumphs of the iniquity and malice of the dragon, and the vain and arrogant glorification and exaltation which he attributed to himself in the execution of his wickedness. In his depraved desire of attaining the object of his arrogance, he offered to the unhappy angels his malicious and poisonous friendship and his counterfeit principalities, commanderships and rewards. These promises, full of bestial ignorance and error, were the tail with which the dragon drew after him the third part of the stars of heaven. These angels were the stars and if they would have persevered, they would have shone with the rest of the angels and the just, like the sun through the perpetual eternities (Dan. 12, 3). But the punishment which they merited drew them down to the earth of their unhappiness into its very centre, which is hell, where they will for all eternity be deprived of light and happiness (Jude 6). 105. “And the dragon stood before the woman, who was ready to be delivered; that when She should be delivered, he might devour her Son.” The pride of Lucifer was so boundless that he pretended to place his throne on high, and with the utmost boasting he spoke in presence of the Woman symbolized in the heavenly sign: “This Son, which that Woman is to bring forth, is of lower nature than mine: I shall devour Him and destroy Him. I shall lead on my followers against Him, I shall spread my doctrines against his decrees and against the laws, which He shall set up. I shall wage perpetual war and contradiction against Him.” But the answer of the most high Lord was that this Woman was to bring forth a Manchild, who was to reign over the nations with an iron rod. “This Man” (the Lord added) “shall be not only the Son of that Woman, but He shall also be my Son, true God and true man, gifted with power to overcome thy pride and crush thy head. He will be to thee and to all those who hear and follow thee, a powerful Judge, who shall rule thee with a rod of iron and bring to naught all thy vain and aspiring thoughts. This Son shall be taken up to my throne, where He shall be seated at my right hand as Judge, and I will place his enemies for a footstool beneath his feet in order to triumph over them (Ps. 2, 9). He will be rewarded as the Just man, who, being at the same time true God, has done so much for his creatures; all shall know Him and shall give Him reverence and honor (Ps. 109, 1). But thou, as the most unhappy, shalt know what is the day of the wrath of the Allpowerful (Sophon 1, 14). This Woman, too, shall be placed in solitude, where She will have a place assigned by Me” (Apos. 12, 6). This solitude, to which the Woman fled, is the position which our great Queen holds, as being only and alone, unsurpassed in sanctity and exempt from all sin. For She, being of the same nature as mortals, far excelled all the angels in grace, merits and gifts attained in common with them. Thus, She who was the only One and without a compeer among creatures, fled and was placed in a solitude exalted above all the rest. This solitude was so far removed from all sin that the dragon could not even attain sight of it, nor could he from the time of her Conception discern anything of Her. The Most High placed Her alone and as the only One in the world, who never had intercourse with, and never was in subordination to the serpent. On the contrary, with solemn promise and assurance He affirmed and decreed: “This Woman, from the first instant of her existence, shall be my only One, chosen for Myself; I exempt Her even now from the jurisdiction of her enemies and I will assign to Her a position of grace most eminent and incomparable, in order that there She may be nourished one thousand two hundred and sixty days” (Apos. 12, 6). That number of days the Queen was to remain in an interior and spiritual state of most exalted and extraordinary graces, which were to be more memorable and wonderful. This happened in the last years of her life, as, with the help of God, I will relate in its place. In that state She was nourished in such a divine manner, that our understanding will never be able to grasp it. And because these graces were in a certain measure the end toward which others of the life of the Queen of heaven were ordained, and, as it were, their culmination, the Evangelist makes a special mention of them.

You have to use an an extra biblical standard because what is espoused in not reflected in Torah. So if you are using an extra biblical standard of what pure sinlessness is...... you had better figure what that extra biblical source is.

So these righteous ones who bodily were resurrected then became just a soul again because no one gets their body back till after the lambs book of life is opened. It would also help if you didn't use abbreviations whose meaning is only known to you - like "w/o". One thing you seem to be asking is: what happens to the souls of the dead before the (permanent) resurrection. Well, I don't need to have a position on that. The notion that "1st born from the dead" meant "1st to be resurrected and never to die again" implies nothing about what happens to the souls of the dead before the (permanent) resurrection. As a Jew you believe in the world to come. Tell me: what happens to the souls of the dead between when they died and when they are resurrected so as to be able to live in the world to come? Why do I need an answer to the question of what happens to the souls of people while they are dead, if you don't also need to answer that question. You asked "Did those dead who were seen walking around then return to their grave on the morrow?" I assume you are referring to Matthew 27:52 ("many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised") ? Well, I don't know when they returned to their grave. I presume that they did eventually die again - just as the son resurrected by Elijah in 1 Kings 17:17 died again. Why do I need to know whether they died again on the morrow or the day after? Do you know when the person resurrection in 1 Kings 17:17 died again? Of course not. Nor are you obliged to know. Neither am I obliged to know when those resurrected in Matthew 27:52 died again.

Just to make a comment. There are those who believe that revelations was written by two authors. One of the references in the text is to a nero like figure. Since nero appears and disappears before the Roman Jewish war goes full tilt, one has to imagine that the author, likely the first author is in trepedation that the temple will be attacked and restored (remembering that the imagry of Matthew is from 75 to 85CE). Obviuosly that did not happen. At the time of the war the Roman Empire, basically was the world, its central authority and vassal and aligned states was everything. The parsians are still to the East and it is clear that some Messianic Jews fled to Odessa, Babylon and like places. But the crux of christianity is about the restoration of the heavenly kingdom in Israel (not rome or the roman empire). Just think about the most politically important cities near Jerusalem. One was alexandria, and the other was rome. We can talk about Babylon, but held nowhere near the sway of the roman empire. We have to think of this in the context of the movement. There are believers who believed Jesus did come again, and the kingdom of heaven was on earth, You had followers of Pauline christianity who hung onto the idea of a pneumatic jesus, who was going to return in glory and bring the king of god (like on every tomorrow) and you have whats left of the Yacovian Evyon, who have, apparently scattered into arabia after Ananiua bin Ananius took out his anger on James and the few evion he could capture. These are but some of the 'christianities' in development. At 68-70AD christianity is in sheer chaos. In the book of John, the first layer, the signs gospel is written, heavily borrowing greek mythology, in Mark it appears the author is calling whats left of the evyon to 'Pella', a bunch of mystic caves on the Jordan River. The Q gospel reflects none of this gnostic and formative christian mythology. We can imagine these christians, running out of the gates of Jerusalem before they are closed tight, thinking the end of their times had come, each one with his own vision of what that entails. And why is Nero singled out, during the last years of his reign Nero was raiding the temple and apparently used a fire in Rome to blame christians. This is part of the reason for the cryptic text. Nero may have already been dead when parts of the text was written. As the war progresses Vespasian is trapping people in Jerusalem, hoping they will fight it out among themselves before romans seige the walls. Of those that survive the fall of the city, many will come to regret that they stayed. Just to keep all this in mind, Nero blamed christians for fires, Nero raided the temple, his armies laid seige, we see one author is calling his brethren to pella, over in Ephesus a different movement is undergoing a bizarre transformation from quasiJewish pauline christianity to a gnostic parallel toward Johannian christianity. The pauline christianity, weakened by the revelation of disciples from Jerusalem, is basically being replaced. Balancing between Jewish Messianic belief and Gentile Christianity the Jewish Roman war is nudging christianity in favor of the latter. What is exactly Revelations calling to? The critical hint is the call changes with the progress of the war and Judeas defeat.

The evidence is pretty clear that Jesus is not the messiah. Isaiah 53 is the only prophecy that even sounds like Jesus, but upon closer examination it's about Israel. I often ponder what makes Christians so hard headed and unable to see obvious flaws in their theology and logic in general. I mean take for example hosea 1 11 and isaiah 7.. these verses are obviously not about jesus. Only someone who was absolutely nuts would believe they were, yet Christians still do mental gymnastics to apply them to Jesus. And they defend their position vehemently in any possible way. I've never seen anything like it. Ironically, if there really is a satan out there trying to trick people and play mind games, Christians are the one group I think he has a hold on. Well, its probably just centuries of indoctrination etc. But certainly seems beyond this world and dark.

(The other sources are the Yahwist [J], the Elohist [E], and the Priestly code [P].) D uses a distinctive vocabulary and style of exhortation to call for Israel’s conformity with Yahweh’s Covenant laws and to stress Yahweh’s election of Israel as his special people. See also Biblical Literature: Old Testament Jesus will be the rulers of the kings of the Earth Israel too The landscape of the Bible And New Testament shows how God is doing it Jesus still saves Revelation advanced all things to the end to Eternity The Old Testament gives example Ezekiel wasn't the gospels, but gives prophecies concerning his time and the future, Ezekiel didn't preached salvation, but Jesus the Messiah did 😢😮😅

@Abraham Mani (Deuteronomy 18:15, 18) The Torah declares that “The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me [Moses] from among you, from your brethren, to him you shall listen…. I [the Lord] will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brethren; and I will put My words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I shall command him” (Deuteronomy 18:15, 18). Christians allege that these verses are a prophecy that refers to Jesus. This tendentious interpretation has no basis in fact. It is simply Christian wishful thinking that has them apply these verses to Jesus. The singular noun navi’, is most likely used in a plural sense generically and does not refer to a particular prophet. The people of Israel are promised that God will raise up prophets to guide Israel just as Moses himself did. This does not mean that these prophets will be like Moses in their level of prophetic stature. The uniqueness of Moses is unsurpassed. What is promised is that following the death of Moses, God will still send prophets to Israel who will possess the true prophetic spirit associated with Moses. The Torah’s message to Israel is that they should beware of false prophets as described in verses 20-22: “But the prophet who will presume to speak a word in My name that I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die. And if you say in your heart, ‘How shall we know the words which the Lord has not spoken?’ Know that when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the things do not follow, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken, but the prophet has spoken it out of presumption; you shall not be afraid of him.” The people of Israel are to be ever watchful against false teachers who would attempt to undermine the Torah given by God at Mount Sinai. The true prophet, the true teacher of Torah, will continue in the path and tradition of Moses. Among the teachings of the New Testament’s Jesus were those that undermined God’s Torah (e.g., Mark 7:14-15, 18-19; Mark 10:11-12, Luke 16:18). Moreover, as we shall see, he never fulfilled the major promise to return to his contemporaries. As a result, this so-called “second coming” has been constantly put off to a future date by those professing to be his followers.

I would respectfully ask that you apply the same concept you use to contend that Jesus was / is not the Messiah. If YOU repeat over and over again that Jesus is not the Messiah, then you and your fellow Jews will believe it. Instead, look into the Tanakh and read ALL the prophecies about the coming Messiah. From Genesis to certainty Daniel, and then compare them to His actual arrival on the 1st day of the 70th week of weeks prophecy in Daniel 9. He fulfilled ALL of His God given mission in Daniel 9:24 (already, but not yet). I ask you to think for yourself and do not listen to the repeated chants that He is not “He” in 9:27. God bless.

Commentary on the prophetic and spiritual book of Revelation from mostly a historical perspective, would be similar to teaching Kabalah in history class. You'll remain clueless. You also suggested the writers of the B'rit Hadassah disingenuously plagiarized the Torah. Sorry, common fishermen we're not scribes or Torah teachers. There are two Messiah' s the suffering servant of Daniel 9 and the victorious Messiah king of kings : Je sus is both and this was hidden because Satan would have never let the Jews crucifi Jesus if he understood what Je sus death and Resurrection would mean to to his Pagan kingdom at the Gates of Hell in Caesarea Phillipi where the Watchers corrupted Mankind a second fall.

No, Jesus way in life showed the path of doing peaceful works in a time when women were being butchered for adultry. He also cured and healed people. He enforced the idea of a "Good God" and to fear and obey the law, with forgiveness as well as loving your brother as yourself, having good will towards each other-Clearly you don't value these things-If a man was to come, sinless and blameless as far as the law is concerned and said to those that disobeyed, forgive and repent-How is he a "bad man"? He also died for people... yes, he laid down his own life in such a manner as to show he was a true friend of the flock at that time-What more can you ask out of a man? He was a better man than most! He said some things which don't make sense to people, but all people do that and people may misinterprete him-Also, his words NEVER seem to fail when you apply them in the right problem or situation-His words shall NEVER go away-Never! He isn't a "get out of jail free card" but then again, in a way, he did provide this to women who were about to be killed for a few mistakes. Doest keep peace? That is crazy-The law given by moses is the law given by moses, and it is "honorable" to obey them... but the truth is, what happens when people don't? They get killed... and this is contrary to the idea that one can forgive the tresspass of another-He created a JUST way of life. Did he legalise lawlessness? NO! Did he show that sometimes, if a person screws you over it's better to just let it go and forget it? Yes! I wonder how many people let a transgressor go freely after that transgressor did something against another-The only types of people that support law and punishment at all times are psychos.

Don't take that too literally. Jesus is the Saviour of the world. There won't be another. The Jews say, that the following are prerequisites for all Messianic candidates: 1). The return of ALL Jews to the land of Israel. (where do you live, & why?) How many Jews are there in the world, OUTSIDE of Israel? 7M? Where are all these people going to live? 12M people! In houseboats on the Mediterranean? In tents in the Negev? 2). Universal peace. What?! There will never be world peace! Not in THIS world! 3). Global disarmament. Impossible! Tell that to the Israelis! Islamic terrorists. Russia. USA, etc etc. 4). Rebuilding of the Temple. a). For what purpose? To kill animals? When the Messiah comes, what will be the point of sacrificing animals? b). If building the 3rd Temple could somehow hasten the coming of the Messiah, why don't the Jews begin to build it now?

5:00 To keep a lie intact it has to stay the same. There is more than one version of the OT if there are many 'false Christians' talking about things they do not know. If that was not the case, I would not be the first one posting this reference from the Bible that supports the theme of listening to the ones who have sound doctrine rather than the people with a loud voice or many listeners. You can get one version that has a digital copy of the 1611KJV text (with the spelling correction in place). The original version has a preface that starts off like this: THE TRANSLATORS TO THE READER Preface to the King James Version of 1611 THE BEST THINGS HAVE BEEN CULMINATED Zeal to promote the common good, whether it be by devising anything ourselves, or revising that which hath been laboured by others, deserveth certainly much respect and esteem, but yet findeth but cold entertainment in the world. It is welcomed with suspicion instead of love, and with emulation instead of thanks: and if there be any hole left for cavil to enter, (and cavil, if it do not find a hole, will make one) it is sure to be misconstrued, and in danger to be condemned. The title of the Book being looked at comes with this title: The Revelation of St. John the divine - 22 Chapters, Bk. 27 of 27 A Christian would instantly think of John the Baptist and the Disciple of his that wrote the Gospel of John. A Christian would also instantly think that since the Gospel of John was a look backward at event that ended up being the completion of all things to do with the bruise to the heel from Ge:3:15. Isa:53:10: Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. M't:26:39: And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. M't:26:42: He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done. Joh:19:28-30: After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst. Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth. When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. Ge:3:15: And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. The author of the Gospel was about 35 on 30AD when she wrote the Gospel of John. At the same time, 3 certain Apostles were writing out their version during the 40 days they were with Jesus after the cross, Peter, and the brothers James and John. The common thread is all the women were 'daughters of Aaron' which made the experts on every word Moses said, as well as the rest of the books in the OT. The pre-Apostles were at the level of 1 hour a week devoted to religious studies, if that. Revelation would have been written by that same Disciple when she was at the oldest age a person could live, 120. If she was about 30, then she wrote it no longer than 120AD. The whole book is the letter mentioned in this verse: 2Th:2:1-2: Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Re:1:1: The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: God was the author of what went on in the 4 Gospels, He is also in charge how the bruise against Satan's head will go. There are several common traits, 3 1/2 years is one. The 70th week of Daniel started the day God (Ge:1:1) called John the Baptist and 3 1/2 years later Jesus went to the grave for 3 days and nights. When Jesus says'It is done.', Satan is sent to the same place the men He kills are, Hell. The men are left there as they are to appear at the GWT event. Re:16:15-21: Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great. Re:20:1-3: And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. That is the Messiah completing both bruises, by 6PM of that same day all the Re:20:4 resurrections will have taken place. For the 12 Tribes, they are 'whole' when the group in Eze:37 is meshed with the 144,000. 1/3 of all Gentiles survive the 7 vials as they are 'repented Gentiles', they are joined by 'Church Members' going as far back as Peter meeting with a few in Acts:10. Jesus then leads both groups to the tree of life in Eze:47. Over the next 1,000 year they are perfected in the ways a sinless 'garden with an altar' works, the Church comes for a month once a year that is timed to Passover. They play the role of the Flock, in the next phase, both groups are in New Jerusalem and they act as Shepherds to the Flock that will come for various reasons during 'eternity'. When there are pastures for children and 'other flesh' the Book of Life is opened against and all other flesh that was conceived. The book is left open as children and herds and flocks will increase during the whole of eternity, their names are also added when they are conceived. Part of the Messiah leading people in the new earth is that while nobody alive for the 1,000 years will be given in marriage the Disciple known as 'the beloved Disciple of John the Baptist' (aka Mary of Bethany) will be standing beside Jesus and learning things only a wife should know. That is for when she and the group she represents ascent to Mount Sion from Hebrews:12 as the angels there are in their promised new heaven. As perfected beings, they can be given in marriage. That is when all the 1,000-year group are at that level, rather than just Mary is.

12:00 The term 'shortly' is for the group that will be alive to live through the 3 1/2 years it takes for trumps 1-6 to unfold. Trumps 1-4 sound in 4 days and then 42 months unfold once the 5th trump sounds. The day the 7th trump sounds is the days the two witnesses are resurrected, all 7 vials are poured out on the wicked and all Re:20:4 resurrections will have been completed. Re:8:12-13: And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise. And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound! This part, 'which God gave unto him' defines who 'he' is later. It means God gave Christ a message to deliver to a certain Disciple of John the Baptist, known as 'the beloved Disciple'. The angel Jesus appeared as is the glorified body God gave Jesus when He came back from the grave. The vision in Matt:17 would have Him looking like He does in Re:1. Re:19:10: And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. Look up the term 'grace' in the NT and then go and read all the passages that term is found in. After that, you are as wise about grace as you need to be to understand how it works. Of course you don't understand what the book says, seeing as you reject its foundational proposition, that Yeshua is Moshiach. If you deny the principles of any discipline or field of study, you cannot hope to make any progress in it. For instance, consider the study of physics, if you reject the foundational propositions of science (accessibility, universality, rationality, contingency and objective reality), you won't be able to understand physics or experiment in any way. Só, let's start with explaining how Yeshua is Moshiach first. Daniel 9:24“Seventy ‘sevens’ are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the Most Holy Place. 25“Know and understand this: From the time the word goes out to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the ruler, comes, there will be seven ‘sevens,’ and sixty-two ‘sevens.’ It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble. 26After the sixty-two ‘sevens,’ the Anointed One will be put to death and will have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary." (NIV) I'm sure you will agree that this pericope is messianic, after all, it directly refers to the ruler (in other words, a person) who is the Anointed One. Now, I have heard some Jews say that it refers to the temple while others say that it could be any ruler, as even Cyrus was referred to as God's anointed ruler, but your mental gymnastics won't save you from this plain text version of the Truth. You have to consider the contextual evidence that point to a very specific person. Let's consider what is said here in detail. Daniel receives this prophecy that, "from the proclamation of the decree to rebuild Jerusalem..." - That does not refer to the proclamation of Cyrus or that of Darius, to rebuild the temple, but to that of Artaxerxes, to rebuild Jerusalem. In the first "seven sevens" or 49 years, the city is rebuilt "with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble." Thereafter the exiles return. This leaves 62 sevens or 434 years until the "Anointed One, the ruler" comes. He is then "cut off". This term is used in the Tanach exclusively to denote judgement and death. Since the time agrees exactly with the times of Yeshua, how do you explain away this "coincidence"? Now, another ruler is prophesied, who will come directly after this and destroy the sanctuary and the city. This was prophesied by Yeshua and fulfilled in 70 AD. Is this coincidence as well? Note that from this point, the long prophesied exile of the Jews into the far corners of the world takes place, they are no more, since there is neither a city, nor a temple, nor a nation. When the nation returns and the temple is rebuilt, the final seven prophesied will be fulfilled. Now, what all the explanations proposed by Judaism ignore is the fact that, this prophecy being messianic, their Moshiach had to come at that time. They were right in expecting Him then, and He did come. But He was not what they expected, so they rejected and killed Him as prophesied so many times. For any of your explanations to be plausible, there has to be an alternative Moshiach at that specific time, and there isn't even a possible candidate. Now, this is only one of many prophecies detailing everything that Yeshua did in the Tanach. Told ahead of time. I cannot go into all of them, but there are many, and Jews only answer to about three of them, ALL with ridiculous contentions that don't even agree with the way they themselves normally read scripture or the writings of the early rabbis. As to Yeshua not being God, you have that exactly wrong. The reason is that you refuse to even examine the possible implications of God manifesting as a flesh and blood person. I'm purposely avoiding Trinitarian doctrine, as it simply isn't necessary to dissect God and try to explain him in this way. God had appeared to many people in some physical manifestation in the Tanach. In most instances, they thought that they would die, as they had seen God. But they didn't, because what they saw was at once God and not his full spiritual glory, which was still everywhere and in all time and even beyond time and space at once. This did not detract from the fact that God was fully present in that manifestation though. (See Abraham, Jacob, Moses, the parents of Samson, etc.) Yeshua was somewhat different though, as he was legally born into the world through the womb of a woman. This does not make him less than God in Spirit, but less than the angels for a time (while still being present outside of time and space). So, while there is a distinction, He and the Father are one. It is fitting that He worships God, prays to Him and respects the fear of God while in the flesh, and yet he still is God. Further, your "soon" and God's soon are not necessarily the same thing. Even so, Yeshua said that the generation from the time the fig tree blossoms shall not pass away until ALL the signs he predicted come to pass. The fig tree blossomed in 1948 with the re-establishment of Israel. We are in those times now. He also said that near the end people would say, "where is this return you speak of? Since the beginning, things have been going on in this same way, nothing has changed." He was right, wasn't he? Congratulations, you've just joined the circle of mockers. Didn't God appear to Abraham as "the Angel of the LORD". Isn't the term often used interchangeably with the Name of God himself? Yes, it is. If I told you that you were going to meet the angel (messenger) of your grandfather, wouldn't you assume that it was actually him in the form he took after death, ie his spirit? You pretend that these things are foreign, but you are simply darkening God's counsel with your contrived teachings. Preterism isn't a viable option. The book is clearly eschatological, and the problem is simply in your perception of what is "soon". Yeshua was clearly not confused on the issue. When asked if he was a king, Yeshua said, "you said it", even today that means yes. But he added, my Kingdom is not of this world (just in case you think that his answer was not clear and to show that the Kingdom is NOT the physical rule over a nation, but a spiritual Kingdom with subjects from every tribe and nation and tongue who subject to the rule of their King, Yeshua Moshiach). Nonetheless, he said he would return, and all indications are that the time for his return is imminent. There shall be a millennial reign, but even that ends after the thousand years. I do not have the time and patience to continue this process of rebutting every contention you make. I could, if I wanted, but it should be clear by now that your reasoning is simply flawed, incongruent and misleading. I trust that those reading this will see through your lies and come to know the Truth.

Daryl - and I don't have the time and patience to read through your garbage. You can't even translate correctly from Daniel 9 - it says AN anointed will be cut off, not THE anointed. You are just bulldozing your agenda into the Jewish Scriptures, as you do with your own NT, where you define 'soon' as fitting in to your agenda. If you were speaking to somebody and giving an important message, wouldn't you speak in THEIR terms as they understand it? As for your 'Preterism isn't a viable option. The book is clearly eschatological' maybe you should speak in a language that ordinary people understand!!
@deniss2
@deniss2 Год назад
@@MarkDiffin My quote from Daniel is taken directly from the NIV, it isn't my translation. Yes, the original does not have the definite article, this does not change the fact that the scripture has been widely taken in rabbinical tradition as being messianic (that tradition does not deal with any anointed, but with a very specific expected messiah). Your diversion tactics are insincere and misleading, and you know it. Btw, read up to the end in verse 26, and you will see your anointed being referred to as "him". A specific person, and thus not a stretch to call him "the messiah". When you speak of language that is generally understood, the language used and the symbolism employed was generally understood by the audience it was meant for. Two thousand years have passed though, and language and usage has changed. Also, the Tanach says that it is the delight of God to hide a matter and of kings to search it out. As for my language, preterism was mentioned by the rabbi, and if he understands that term, he would certainly understand eschatology. Most Christians do, and that is what dictionaries are for if you don't. I tire of answering all the same contentions over and over again, and don't have unlimited time for this. I also know that readers will only read so much before giving up, and so further argument will not even be heard. That is why I don't continue beyond a certain point. You were however willing to listen to a much longer list of nonsensical arguments made by the rabbi. Why? It isn't as if you believed the writings in the book of Revelations to start with. So, you were looking for something to confirm your rejection thereof. Why? Are you going to ridicule some Christian who doesn't have all the answers on his fingertips? If not, you should really follow my arguments as far as I take them, no seriously, they may contain something you had not considered and they may lead you to better understanding.

This is of course nothing new. Matthew seems to have instigated this. Have you ever looked up his quotes in his 1st 2 chapters? A recent classic I saw is when someone quoted Rabbi Moshe Hadashan - a well-respected Sage of 1000 years ago - as saying the messiah will not have a biological father/parents. Wow, what a quote from such an important Rabbi, how could he write such a thing!!?? The answer is that he didn't! He just said that the messiah will not have parents, that is that he will be orphaned at a young age and he used exactly the same language that was used regarding Queen Esther.
