Do not use the plastic sails, make cloth ones. Do not use the preformed realizes, do them the real way. Do not use the preformed deadeyes, do them the right way.

I wondered how long it took the master craftsmen to make the detailed molds to make the hundreds of detailed parts as I built this model.

Why are the yardarms half way down the sail. Surely even the box art would show the positions for the sails. Nevermind the instructions.

I built a Revell 1/96 scale Cutty Sark in 1965. It had the complete plans for every line in the rigging, including all the single and double blocks. Took weeks of all my spare time, but it was winter and too cold to go out. My folks were very proud. This one is a slop job.

Sorry, but this is a missed opportunity. I was about 16 when I put this model together. I only have 2 photos of it. But that looked a bit different. This really could have been better. The kit contains sufficient material and clear explanations to make a beautiful model with a great rigging. It seems to me that it has been a race against time to build the model.

Cutty Sark is not English. She was built in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Her great rival, Thermopylae was built on the Clyde.

A poorly, very rushed build. An expensive kit like that should be built with great care, perhaps taking several months to complete

very badly made due to no strings on no deck painting no chains on the front if you're going to pay nearly a £100 for a kit this size you would want to spend time on it making it not to see how fast you can build it

Get rid of the stupid plastic sails, the horrible rat lines and use real deadeyes for the shrouds. Essentially, re- rig her.

I really think your model ability should be limited to something very simple to build, not a kit this involved. This kit, if done like it should be made, could take over a year to make! Sorry.
