Nice build. You did an excellent job on this kit. I like the color too! I agree with you on the fuel tanks, the seam in the chrome is just too much to ignore. Once again, awesome work!
A tutorial on the assembly and painting of this model would be invaluable for modelers. I have this model in queue, but as I am dedicated to armored vehicles that use other techniques, I have been waiting to find guidance to achieve something like this.
You said the wheels were a little quirky, I agree. You can order some moebius wheels that will fit and look perfect for that truck and the Kenworth aerodyne also. I love the color and the way you did the decals. You can use duplicolor primer paint and clear coat does an excellent realistic look for models also. Sharp truck.
@@ericsmodelgarage Great!! I forgot to mention the sheets of polystyrene plastic also. You can make custom drop visors for those trucks too. They don't come with visors.
Well cummin engines would be Red Detroit engines would be a pale green and caterpillars yellow at least most Peterbilt had either a Detroit or caterpillar engines while Most Kenworths came with a Cummins
I suppose you could order a custom color for your Cat engine but I only ever saw white and yellow, never tan. Peterbilt seemed to hang on to the white colored engines a bit longer than Kenworth and others that switched to yellow in the early to mid eighties.
