This song describes exactly what is like to fight a brain locked in a safe, spiderman/batman (version depending) and a ninja who likes to club way too much.
1.rambos guys couldn't kill him 2.hulk couldn't kill him 3.terminator couldn't kill him 4.spiderman couldn't kill him 5.batman couldn't kill him 6.godzilla couldn't kill him 7. Even some weird guy with white hair couldn't kill him
You may wonder why this tune is named "TERRIBLE BEAT" in fact it's really good. It's not the beat of this tune that terrible. But because it makes the beat of heart terrible. Yes, I always got nervous in every boss fight because of this...
Easily the best song in the game. Back then Genesis had a headphone jack on the console. Plugged some earphones and sat there and listened for hours, while all kinds of battles were racing through my mind with this song in the background. Thinking about it, I played the music more than the game itself.
1.Giant Samurai 2. Shadow Dancer 3. Brain 🧠 in a tube 4. The Terminator...GET DOWN! 5. The North Korea 🇰🇵 truck 6. Spiderman/Batman. Wheres Robin? 7. Godzilla 8. The grand daddy of them all... Neo Zeed.
I couldn't agree with you more...I tell these kids that I am so thankful to have grown up in the 80s & 90s to experience the Sega/Nintendo Wars....Also, back then going to the Arcade was the ultimate high in my life lol....Maaan I miss those dayyzzzz!!!!
Yuzo san = absolute legend. The revenge of Shinobi / Super Shinobi and Actraiser are two of my favorite ever video game soundtracks. You would think with the advancements in sound quality since then (on all audio equpiment, not just video game consoles), we would be hearing tunes to rival or better these classics, but nothing has come close since. The 16-bit era, will always the most memorable part of my video game memories.
The weaker hardware forced more innovation, that's why 8 and 16 bit games will always be better. Developers would have to force themselves back onto the old hardware to achieve the same level of creativity. =)
I agree 200% with your statement. Modern sound in trance, metal, pushed the limits of clear sounds, but the charm and essence of Frequency Modulation like the Genesis chip has never been reproduced nor kept.
I remember playing this game, I'd never reached this boss because it was too hard for me lol Back when games were actually "difficult" Btw, best music of this game in my opinion
This song would have to be in my top 10 favorite boss themes. I never cared that they used it for every boss except the final (which I honestly think could have been better) because it still stuck that holy crap this boss was going to kill me O_O. lol
The soundchip inside the Super Nintendo was cutting edge tech courtesy of Sony that could emulate full orchestras, it would be hard for anyone to match that. The Genesis does what it set out to do well, which is emulate the sound of Sega Arcade machines.
@Segaman19 i know, acts 2 and 3 of Area Code 818 (Los Angeles) sucked, but they were easy to deal with once you knew the patterns of the incoming red cars in act 2, and the sparks from the truck in act 3.
haha that's how i always listened to game back then when you couldn't just download the soundtrack from the internet. When i was younger, I used go to the sound test on Streets of Rage 2 for Sega Smash Pack on the Dreamcast, and i used to bump to every song hahaha
I had to write an argumentative/research paper and it was due at midnight! so what did I do to finish with frantic, pumping, adrenaline? I supered the volume and this song played while rushing to the last second!!! This terrible beat kicks butt!
this is the extended version lol but if u mean the 10 minute one, i deleted it cause it was horribly extended, and at the time it was my first time learning how to extend. it was way off and i hated it so i got rid of it
