I know this is an old demo but I wanted to say that the clean sound of a guitar is key. That tells you how the design and materials all come together. It's the baseline tone of the instrument. Here, you chose amps and settings that were, at minimum, gritty and then driven. I'm OK with that but I still don't know what this guitar itself sounds like after quite an investment of time. You had a Fender style amp but left it on the drive side instead of flipping a switch. We got the drive /gain thing from the Orange,didnt need more. All in all, there was no sparkle or clarity or pure tone demonstrated. Beautiful guitar and Reverend is good quality but let the Kingbolt speak!

I have the tommy koffin which is a kingbolt with upside down headstock. I absolutely love this guitar. I have never had such great tuning stability, and I find the wilkinson and locking tuners to be superior to a locking floyd rose. The sound and playability are excellent. This guitar is a HUGE value for the price. I would love to try the hyper-vintage pickups. I have the chisels in mine. Reverend guitars to me are the best guitars for the money, period.

Johnny B, I am very interested in the Koffin model. It looks amazing. Not too many demos on it though. What are your thoughts about the Chisels? are they versatile, or are they geared more towards "shred" styles of music?

I’m in Canada, but you do some of the best reviews for these guitars. I love watching them! I also love Reverend. I have a couple and am really interested in the Airsonic. This Kingbolt looks great too!

Interesting proposition. I do have a Les Paul Standard (over my right shoulder in the video). I've never messed with swapping out pickups personally, but I could definitely do a video comparing the two... would that be cool?

Music Islife I hear ya- my Les Paul is like that and it works well. This takes a little getting used to. The movement is on the downstroke instead of the upstroke, more like a telecaster. What do you play currently?

MasonMusicRocks my main guitar is a Parker Fly but I also have a Reverend Jetstream 390, which is one of the coolest guitars I've ever played :) I prefer the sound of the 390 but nothing plays as well as the Parker.

Sounds very nice. ¿Which wood is the fingerboard?. Reverend's web site says "blackwood tek." I'm very interested on this new material but could'nt find sound samples until now (if it's finally blackwood tek)

Yes, that is correct. It's very stable and doesn't weather like maple, rosewood or ebony. Feels really good as well. Definitely have to get your hands on one if you haven't.

That is a really beautiful looking guitar and it sounded really nice. It did sound to be a bit Out Of Tune near the end of the demo. Can anyone out there say if it holds tune in a live setting?

bobbyruggs808 thanks for the comment! I’ll wait to let someone else reply about live settings- I know the strings on this were really new and I did a fair amount of bending but I’m also curious to hear from some real players who have put it through its paces on the road.

@@bobbyruggs808 I dont know man. It might be the fact that the bridge is floating. Read that this could get your guitar out of tune more easily than a set bridge.
