This man not too long ago literally had one of the best fighters in all the multiverse who was trained by Slade Wilson and Ra’s al Ghul as a friend and couldn’t even ask him to show him one basic fight technique for situations like this? This is definitely the CW writers.

@@Vaglas Firstly, had Oliver trained Barry I’m sure he would’ve been just as well trained maybe even better than batwoman. Second I’m not just talking bout this I’m talking about every time Barry lost his speed and was left to fight without it. The man couldn’t beat Cicada even when he had a chair as a weapon which Oliver could work wonders with. I’m not saying Barry is Oliver but come on it’s just pathetic to see how much this guy is so reliant and unprepared for when he looses his speed even steer multiple times of having lost it.

I'm going to be honest, Barry relies on his super speed too much to the point where he can't even beat somebody without running. 7 complete seasons straight, and Barry never tried to learn martial arts from around the world or self-defense martial art techniques from Oliver (when he was alive). Sometimes you got to use more than super speed to win a fight especially when it's 2 on 1

@@african9686 I mean lets not act like Barry hasnt been a punching bag several times before. This scene also showed how many people are gone now since and they barely have any male fighters besides MM, Clark (who was barely shown before and will probably stay isolated on his own show), Cisco (even though he is usually alive his weak write off says he will barely be around) , Legends (barely show up now), Diggle who is now a guest star on a mission, and a few others who already starred in the crossover so they werent gonna get paid for another episode. I do think they couldve subbed out Batwing for Batwoman (better fight for a speedster and Thawne would probably try to be closer to the smarter people) but the cast is just so overall weak now that no matter what changes you made it wouldve looed like a badly directed fight scene.

Alternative timeline. In Eobard's words, he went on to create "a Reverse-Flashpoint" following his last encounter with Barry in the Season 7 finale. Since Barry was far faster than him at that point, Eobard figured that the only way to truly defeat The Flash was to become The Flash, and went about making various changes to history. Including briefly wearing Barry's face to frame him and set up this whole storyline.

So happy to see the best character of the show back Eobard Thawne/ Reverse-Flash Basically the only reason I get excited about the show is to see what Reverse-Flash is up to and hopefully one day see an interesting full back story episode of Eobard Thawne HELL ID LOVE TO SEE A SPIN OFF SHOW ABOUT REVERSE-FLASH WHERE HES AN ANTI-HERO...Like they have done with Venom and other bad characters in Marvel... DC could do the exact same thing with Thawne Cus he's not always bad...just does what he wants todo instead of straight forward decisions like regular good guy heros

@@HPlayss 5% of his speed? At 100% he was able to basically freeze Thawne's ass in place and able to make nuke explosion last for hours, instead of like milliseconds. So even at 1% he should be easily able to walk circles around everyone expect Thawne during that fight. Even at his 5% speed his speed is easily enough to dodge bullets, considering s2 Barry was unable to dodge lighting bolt thrown at him, but he still dodged Thawne's bolt, aka his got more than enough to knock out everybody before they can even react to him moving

Thawnes negative speed force focuses on negative emotions like hate. These don't dictate complete how fast you are but they impact significantly. So Barry would be far faster than thawne because he hates Thawne but Thawne doesn't love anyone.

To all the people who are complaining that Barry got trashed on in this fight: They literally establish a few minutes later that he doesn’t have enough speed because of Black Lightning trying to take his powers in the last episode. On top of that Barry is most likely very confused by the new situation and that may be effecting his reflexes. So it isn’t “lazy writing” in this case. Y’all just forgot what happened in the last episode.

I think the Flash is overpowered unless he’s fighting a speedster or someone as smart as Batman or Mr. Freeze. The show is heavily inconsistent when it comes to Barry vs. non-speedsters. Oh well, you gotta nerf him sometimes. But they can’t seem to at least be consistent with their options. One day he’s catching bullets and other days he can’t dodge a damn punch from an inferior human being.
