Wish I'd known about that before I put my new clutch in. I did a pressure bleed on mine not pumping the pedal so I guess I will be ok. Once again thanks for video. You are a massive help to me helping me do all the stuff to my '06 ST to keep it in top condition without large garage bills! I can use the money instead to buy such extravagant things as new engine looms from Ford! Ouch.
This is great info. If you bleed it and get a bit of air in the system, does it automatically self bleed enough to allow the clutch to work pretty much perfectly?
I am replacing braking lines to braided ones and also upgrading the braking fluid. I guess it'll have to involve the clutch too. So do you do this first and then bleed the brakes?
Brake and clutch share the same reservoir but different master cylinders so you can change the brake lines and just bleed the brakes, not have to touch the clutch or same vice versa. But if you want to change fluid on both then you can use a reverse bleeder to do both. Doesn't matter which one you do first when reverse bleeding as air will be pushed out of the lines and into the reservoir so by the time there is fluid pumped into the reservoir there is no longer air in the line.
Thanks for the great content Jaime, wish there was more more often as I love working on my own car. My clutch has been slipping and running 430nm, I am also losing brake fluid very slowly, warning comes on every two months, ya think it could be this when the people did the new clutch?
I'd say you deff have a leak mate and I'd be checking over the connection from hard line to flexi line and the connection to the bleeder. If both are dry that leaves only the slave or the master
Thanks for the helpful video Jamie! Do you have any idea where to buy one of these in the UK? Seems impossible to me I’m guessing this is completely different to a vaccum bleeder?
@@OEMDeniedPerformance nothing's. I cannot pull anything out, or push anything in through the bleeder. However, if I pump the clutch with my reverse bleeder attached it will press a little air out. I can see it moving up the hose. But, nothing substantial.
