In todays video we remove the rear blocks on my 2021 trail boss to level it with the front! I think this looks so much better! Removing the blocks or installing shackles is a easy way to reverse level your truck!
So much better man! I did a 2 inch maxtrac reverse level on my 21 RAM 4x4 and love it. I hate huge fender gaps on trucks. Body lines are smooth and wrap the wheels and tires better!
You could of put the block on top of the leaf spring to be able to use the stock u bolts without spacers or anything, the leaf spring had a notch for the block to fit in the top
@@danielcontreras7988 all you do is remove your blocks and u bolts and put the block on top of the leaf spring aligned with the little pin hole and then line your u bolts up and tighten them down
When i put my leveling kit on i felt like the truck rode smoother than the factory and looks a lot better too. GM needs to start having the option to level truck new or sell a leveling kit.
I replaced the 2 inch blocks with 1 inch blocks on my TB and I was able to use the original u bolts. I'm measuring about 8 1/2 inches all around the 4 wheels now. I think without any blocks the truck will slightly squat, but if you don't haul or tow anything heavy that works too.
@@lorenclark7133 I may have got them from ebay , they were about 40 bucks from what I remember. If you decide to change them just undo the u bolts and use the jacks to lift the leaf springs one side at a time and they just slide out and you can slide in the new ones. It took me about one hour to change them by myself
Just removed mine from my TB this morning because of this video. Got the factory GM u-bolts, only $7 a piece. #11547631 incase anyone wants to know the part number. Looks so much better imo 👌🏼
you could have just out your blocks on top of the leaf spring and used the factory u bolts. that was they're still there if you or somebody wanted to put them back
I had thought the same (removing the blocks), I also like a level truck. picked up a 2014 short-bed and wondered if anyone had done such a thing.Since you have DIY experience do you happen to know if it messes with anything like the Driveshaft or pinion angle. great channel.
WTF would want to mess with the geometry of the factory set-up and all the settings that were the result of pain staking research n development? I mean going from level going up
Pretty sweet. No lie. At first wasnt gonna like it. I've seen deep drops and never understand. Or would think it make the ride uncomfortable. Also I thought the Trailboss as also the AT4 the factory 2" was only in the front.
are you getting vibrations from the rear now that your driveline angle changed ? Non trail bosses (without blocks) have a shim in the leaf pack to correct the angle…
Been waiting for this vid for a minute! Love these videos, keep em up! You should take off the running boards to, it would look sick and probably taller!
I want say thank you for making these videos. I bought myself an LT trail boss after watching your videos. I too have plans for some mods. And your videos are a great help. Keep them coming!
Way to put ur fingers between the axle and the leaf spring … anyone watching this … NEVER DO THAT!!!! if it does t line up when dropped use a dead blow it’ll slip right in.
I did the reverse leveling kit on my 2020 sierra elevation did 1.5” in the rear and man in the north east I when you hit a pot hole there is no suspension travel. I just removed it and returned it to stock
That looks so much better. I was thinking about lifting the front, but the truth is that ALL LIFT KITS ARE HARD ON THE TRUCK. This is a better option if you want to keep the truck a long time.
I mean not all trucks are made for off road mines made for towing and just for work that has heavy things to haul there c1500 98 I think i might level it like that never thought it thanks for the idea actually keep up good work
Did you get your U-bolts from GM? Looking on their site and I don’t see any with threads going up high enough on the bolt, just the stock ones you removed.
if you remember was the blocks that you took off tapers? If they were was the thicker side on the rear of the axle or the front where the drive shaft is? My 2019 came with a shim with the thicker side on the drive shaft side and need to see if I need to remove it with the new blocks I have that are tapered.
i installed 3.5 inch loaded struts on the front of my trail boss. still has a 1/2 inch rake. Gonna replace the 2 inch block with an 1.5 inch block. Really like the level look
I'm just a regular truck guy that enjoys your videos, can you do a video explaining why exactly you like leveling versus stock. And maybe why do they come not leveled
They come not level so if you haul wait it will sit level instead of squatting, I just like the look of it sitting level rather than the back being up high
Bro I love all your trucks! They’re all beast! I have a 2014 silverado and would like to do it like baby squat in a way cuz it is a baby squat with the 3 inch leveling kit I put on it a couple years ago. It sets slightly shorter in the back just a hair…..plus I would love to have an obs Silverado that’s in as good of shape and nice as yours lol
@@dpk426 ones that would fit on ubolts and not sure about how many but pretty sure it would be enough to be able to get bolts tight and enough to where I would only have to use socket to tighten the nuts up with.
I'm amazed how much that little bit makes a difference on the trail boss. I couldn't put my finger on why it didn't sit right with me, now I know, it had it's booty up in the air!
