I watched the fast lane car video for this car and they had the Japanese engineer talk about their side of the project, him speaking about it in-depth may have sold it for me even talked about some aftermarket touches for the future he even spoke about the blocked vent for a bit and the reasoning. Glad to see you review this car Matt you’ve come such a long way man! Keep up the good vids!

everyone will complain that the car is made by BMW, but to be honest, they went to the best possible car maker and this is a result of a wonderful partnership. Who else can make an inline six as good as BMW? Please don't say Mercedes... I mean, they could've given you the same type of car as Nissan and Acura with 500+ hp, but the car would've cost over $100,000. No one would buy that, just like no one is buying GTR'S and NSX'S. This car is attainable, fun, and has one of the best modern engines money can buy... Be Happy... And this is coming from a proud 335i owner whose had five Lexus and Toyota's.

The vents are not technically fake, according to the Chief Engineer from the TFL video earlier

0-60 4.1 seconds and it only has 335 horsepower. Imagine once this Supra gets modified...it’ll be game over😎

For those complaining that Toyota failed to develop the new Supra on its own and/or that it lacks the pedigree of the fourth generation Supra, it's worth noting that Toyota's first great sports car, the 2000GT, is a much more obvious ancestor of the new Supra while the 4th generation Supra still bore marks of its direct ancestor, the Toyota Celica. The 2000GT was a two seat sports car with an in-line six engine sourced directly from Yamaha and an overall swoopy design clearly drawn from the Jaguar E-type. They didn't sell many but recent examples in pristine condition have sold for about $1.2 million. That's heritage.

I don’t care what the haters say The new Supra is a great car and keeps the tradition of a straight six engine and RWD I would really love to have both the MkIV and MkV Supra And a manual transmission option would be nice

When I heard that the Supra would be based on the FT-1 concept, I was so excited. I was so disappointed when I saw the results. So if I never saw the FT-1, I would actually appreciate the design of this car more but now that pictures and videos are starting to come out, it starting to grow a lot on me. It's 50k car that can hit 0-60 in 4 seconds. The best of Toyota and BMW in one car. I can't wait to see these on the roads.

Loved this review, Matt! Yours is the first I've seen on the new Supra. Ever since I started at my Toyota dealer back in November of '21, only one Supra has come through. It was a black, non-premium 3.0. The manual didn't exist at the time. I was the lucky one to sell it, though! I only drove it to get gas in it, but I was in the passenger seat for the test drive, and it put me right to the back of my seat! That nose really does lift up when you accelerate. Great car, despite the BMW parts bin. Can't wait to see your other Toyota reviews when I have time to get to them, along with everything else!

Supra was the sport car from Toyota in my era. Nice to see they bring the Supra back. 🦅🦅🇺🇸

What Toyota did is pure genious. The took what BMW, Improved it and made sure quality control was up to Toyota standards. 0-60 in 4 seconds for 50k. Those are fast numbers honestly. It's about the experiance of driving, the handling. Toyota was very clear about the car being able to handle more HP and how easy it was to tune. Toyota engineers directly said in the video that they wanted the Supra to be attainable to the general public. By working with BMW they were able to cut the price down to 50k. Bmw wins and Toyota wins. Does having a manual transmission make any better performance wise, no. They even said that. Will it make it a much more interactive ride? Yes. Who knows Toyota may introduce the manual version. Or you may be able to do a swap? Top it all off your getting Toyota quality sports car, which is almost super car status that offers Toyota care warrenty and you can even extend the bumper to bumper for 3k. Giving you full warrenty for a total of 6 years! The warrenty covers anything and every thing not related to wear and tear. I've experimented with them on several Toyota vehicles. They've covered. They work and worth their value. I'm really considering this vehicle! Also consider that you can maintain this car cheap! My buddy had a nissian GTR. The first 30k mile tune up cost him close to $20k! Using OEM breaks, tires, pads, oils on everything from radiator to diffs, fuel injectors. I was shocked. I'm sorry but I'm not that rich to spend 20k on tune ups for a Nissian GTR. Believe me I asked around for prices thinking he was bullshting. I looked at his Bill's and tallied up the numbers.

I think all other reviews don’t do this car as much Justice as Matt’s Matt’s I can really feel out cause Matt isn’t about being fanboy just loves the supra and that is what I love I love having people agree to love the supra it’s back it’s just that people have to take it in for a little while before making criticisms

this transmission should be in q50 Red Sport and with that the car will show the real beauty of that VR engine, will be an animal!

If love of they made a New Supra with a Targa roof. I always loved the look of the MK4 with the Targa off.

Unpopular opinion: I LOVE THE FRONT END

@29:30 as a Challenger, Mustang, Camaro owner I disagree with wanting a Supra if not already an owner of a Mustang. I know its just a filler comment from Matt but the Supra by no means competes with the Mustang in my wants and likes. There’s just no place to put anything in the Supra. Its a purpose built sports car that I’d be happy with having in my driveway as long as I had other goto options. I’m feeling pretty nostalgic here knowing Supra has returned and returned in a significantly enthusiastic manner. Great review as always.
