Cool, I bought this exact one today on Amazon. I'll mostly be using it to watch streams and 4K videos on my 4K TV though. My setup is more entertainment based, so I like using laptops as my keyboard and mouse, then Input Director to combine my PC and monitors. Currently saving up for a desktop PC, and this looks like the perfect holdover until I get one.
@@ace3953 It gets really hot to be honest. I haven’t had an overheating issue yet, but it’s more of a desktop than a laptop because it would likely be too hot for your lap. The keys, the trackpad, everything gets hot. The picture is very crisp and I haven’t ran into any performance issues, but yeah it gets burning hot while surprisingly never overheating.
Does it easily overheat? Planning on buying this but Acer Nitro units are notorious for overheating, fragile LCD and battery issues. Hoping to hear your thoughts and experience with this unit.
I would suggest that this device is best suited for light gamers. Although the fan noise is quite loud, I have not experienced any of the issues you have mentioned.
So strange, same specs but on the acer website the back has clear not red and has a pattern on the cover mine is like yours and i can only find one like this at office works in Australia
My one really reaches high temps around 96 degrees on the cpu i had the same issue with my acer nitro was the 3060. Is this normal. I hardly ever use it only 1 month old
Hello im having a problem with mine i had insane fps for like 2 days and now they are really low for no reason and games aren't using more then 50% of gpu and cpu. How can I fix this?
hey. i bought a nitro 5 with ryzen 6600h and rtx 3060. on the support site on acer it say it use up to 140watt. But when i played forza today the watt was between 95 to 110 +. this modell AN515-46 | Part Number: NH.QGZED.002 R7J3
Probably dynamic boost reducing the TDP. If the CPU is using over 25w, dynamic boost will reduce GPU wattage to give CPU more wattage and thats why the 3060 will drop from 140w to 110w-ish.
