Just picked up this 520 a few days ago and thought I’d show you around. Any questions or anything else about the machine you’d like to see leave a comment!
I have a pioneer 520 that I bought new in 2021. Before that I had a 2015 pioneer 500 that I gave to my son. He has over 6000 trouble free miles on it. They are a great woods machine. I go places my friends cannot go when in the woods. Not the best if you're riding on dirt roads at higher speeds but I don't care about that. I use mine for hunting and working around camp.
Man U say whatever you want . Repeat anything u want , F WHAT ANYONE ELSE THINKS , prob with this country everyone walking on egg shells . But yes outstanding machine and always get what fits u and your needs , I have same video on 700 and I’m sure I ramble on . Statics show , more than 80 percent people want to hear ya talk. . It’s the 20 percent that complain . Can’t please everyone. . But I’ve heard lots of eastern guys love this machine because so many trails have width restrictions , ATV size . I bought a new Yamaha Rhino back in 07. I never thought I would be able to afford another side by side. I was looking at trading it to a golf cart, but then I saw these 520 Hondas on the web at a very affordable price affordable price. You can't beat a Honda. I will be trading the Rhino in to this. Thanks for the video.
I have zero regrets. That’s machines that can do certain things better, but I could not find one that did everything well, and had the reliability of the Honda! Thanks for watching!
You hit the nail on the head. If I had a lot more open land I think the top speed would be a limiting factor for fun, but for 95% of what I do, I’m not going much over 25mph, never mind in excess of 40
I have a scrambler S…55 inches wide. It does fit in my truck bed but the wheel wells don’t like it. As much as I like the convenience of hauling it in the bed a small trailer makes more sense and is safer especially when loading/unloading. If a ramp fails in any way I’m getting smoked. I’m slowly restoring an older single axle trailer because of this. Less convenient to haul a trailer but a smaller one wouldn’t be too bad. Plus then you don’t have to fight with ramps or any apparatus loading into and out of your truck bed. Save the ol back haha! I’ve been considering trading off my dirt bike for one of the 520s like you have so my grandpa would have something small to play on. I hope you like it so far!!! It’s in the agenda. Time out in the garage has been extremely limited lately unfortunately. Have to get the Factory Five sold to free up some space and coin, then back on the Challenger. If the metal work were to be finished this year I’d be thrilled

Ground clearance is about 8”. Smooth enough over the standard dirt trails. Doesn’t handle the bigger rocks that well. Quieter than any other side by side I’ve driven but in fairness I’ve usually driven 900-1000cc machines that are naturally going to be louder. Had it a month now and still very happy with the machine! I appreciate you watching!
I’ve always heard mixed reviews on the CF Moto’s. Some guys swear by them. I think with some of the off brands it comes down to luck of draw whether you get a solid one or a lemon
Really nice country you get to ride in. The trans sounds loud when it shifts. Has it quieted down with some break in time and is it as loud in the cab as it is in the video?
When it’s cold the shifting is louder and stiffer. As it warms it’s not as noticeable. It has quieted some as I’ve put more miles on it but it’s still a bit noticeable. Not bad, but not quiet!
That’s an easy one for me. I much prefer a side by side. Of course it’s subjective though. I think the beauty of a smaller trail machine is there’s not a lot you can do with an atv you couldn’t do with a 50” SxS. Only real restriction is the height (going through a low tunnel etc due to the roll cage)
