What is the best watercolors in the world? Daniel Smith? Someone said Da Vinci is cheaper, but I dont find it is. Also, what brush is the best. I want to paint masterpieces from the start.
@@etienne7774 high expectations. Haha. It’s been two years since you made this comment. Did you paint some masterpieces? 😀 Most people would say Schmincke are the best in the world. I’ll say it depends on what you paint. Different companies have some colors that perform better than others. Schmincke, D.S. and M Graham make excellent paints. Escoda and Raphael make great sable brushes. Winsor and newton series 7 are also excellent.
Hi, thank you. I am from Belgium where blockx comes from. Their oil colors are fantastic but very very very expensive in Belgium. In the US it should be horrible.
Great review, very helpful. I'm interested in seeing how other brands of paint perform, but it doesn't look like Blockx is for me. Several of the basic colors do poorly in a palette and don't rewet well. Good to know. Thank you.
Yeah, some of the paints when left to dry will produce a protective coating so those colours do not rewet well. I've some colour charts here when I first started using them: www.parkablogs.com/content/testing-blockx-pan-watercolours?f=yt
You can get similar quality at more affordable prices with other brands. Blockx are quality paints too. As always compare the prices with other brands and shipping cost before buying. ;-)
+Itamar Bavly It should dry in a day. I will put the watercolour box under the sun to heat it up and it will dry fast. Make sure you close the box but leave a gap for the water moisture to escape.
