Hi, You can actually set the default flash mode to "off" so that you wont have to keep turning it off. To do that, 1) Turn on the camera 2) Press and hold the flash button (It will start blinking) 3) Set it too "Off" 4) Press the shutter to confirm
Hi, TVS ii owner here. This camera has a nice film like "rendering" which I personally like. Sharpness is over-rated, like with the T3 for example. (looks almost digital). Also, with the TVS ii, just turn the flash off (it always stays off), job done...:)
I don't know, i had my TVS , and really wasn't impress by that film "rendering" the vario sonnar isn't that sharp as a tessar from yashica t4 or even the T3 , i like to have my photo have this sense of pictural feeling. So i think it depend on what type of rendering you want but i think having a sharper lense give you more option
@@JoeJoe-nb3lt I suppose it could be akin to comparing the TVS i or ii to the Contax T3 (as I mentioned above). Sharp enough and about 1/4th of the price of the most expensive Contax, the T3 or less than 1/2 half the price of the Contax T2. As a comparison, I also shoot Canon DSLR and some people always raved about how sharp Sigma Art series lenses were as compared to Canon L lenses. Sharper maybe but clinically a totally boring rendering. So, I would rather shoot a Contax TVS ii ( 6 element Vario-Sonnar) or a Contax T2 over a Contax T3 which is so sharp you might as well just shoot digital. That was my point. In the end, I prefer my film cameras to give a "film" like look rather than a digital look. It's all a matter of personal preference though of course. I also have a Yashica T series P&S but that is another thing, not in the same league as Contax at all. I'll take a 6 element Vario-Sonnar (TVS ii) over a 4 element Tessar (Yashica T3 or T4) or any Tessar any day of the week.Cheers.
