Premium Cookware That Produces Superior Results
If cooking for you isn’t just a job, but instead a passion, you are going to have a great appreciation for the performance of this line of cookware. I invested in the 12’ straight frying pan because I wanted a product that was well made, versatile and beautiful. What I got was even more than I expected.
Weighing in at 11.2 lbs, this pan is far superior in looks and performance that the lightweight aluminum cookware found in many stores. Stainless steel is considered by many to be the gold standard because it simply outperforms aluminum alone for even heat distribution while cooking and I have found this pan to be no exception. It excels at heating quickly and evenly, and allows me to make much more complicated recipes all in one pan as it goes seamlessly from stovetop to oven. I can brown and sear thicker meats beautifully before finishing them off in the oven, giving my food a thoroughly cooked and juicy inside, with the crisp and taste of a pan fry on the outside. Conversely, I have also found it to be perfect for gently steaming vegetables using a waterless cooking technique, allowing them to be thoroughly cooked, yet full of nutrition and flavor without coming out soggy or limp. And just a side note - you can also make some killer stuffed French toast for breakfast in this pan!
The aesthetics of this pan are beautiful with the hammered copper look on the sides of the pan. I also like that they have designed this pan with two handles. It makes moving the pan from place to place so much easier than a single handle design. The extra long handle, which is secured tightly to the pot with one rivet on each side, provides a very stable feel as one uses the pan. It is amazingly heat resistant and stays cool to the touch no matter how hot the pan itself gets. It has a very comfortable grip and the far end is branded with the Dalstrong lion logo. The smaller side handle on the opposite side of the pan allows one to easily lift and manipulate the pan when moving from the oven to the stovetop or vice versa.
There are a few more special design elements that make this pan’s design so unique and well thought out. I really like that there are measurements permanently labeled from 2l to 4l on the inside wall of the pan. The high walls on this pan help to prevent grease splatter as well as tomato sauce from splashing and the the flared lip/edge design is great to help prevent drips while pouring directly from the pan.
The pan comes with a matching stainless steel lid that provides a perfect seal. A vent hole for steam has been included in the lid, which also has a Dalstrong lion branded lid knob made from a thick cast steel. This knob also stays exceptionally cool to the touch, and I have pretty much eliminated the need for using any kind of pot holder with this pan.
The more that I use this pan, the more that I find that I really enjoy it’s versatility and features while cooking. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to invest in long lasting and high quality cookware for their own kitchen that can be passed down to the next generation when the time is right.

Don't know if you'll see this since this is a year later, but I have a question, how is it dealing with the handle when the pan is full of food and moving it. I'm just concerned about the square edges on the handles not being able to get a good grip or hurting your hand.

That handle is super helpful when it's full of food and the corners aren't really 'sharp' so I wouldn't worry about that, they also rarely get hot depending on what you're cooking, I only need to use a towel to hold that handle every once in a while if I'm working with a higher heat. Honestly though this is my favorite pan I've ever owned that wasn't cast iron! I ended up buying the 3qt sauce pot as well.

You move the meat around to much. You slow down the process when you do that
