Can you put the engine flush in and let it run when the car is jacked up on stands?

I bought my first hj60 in 2002 and it ended up needing a reconditioned engine. After that I ran penrite oil and changed oil with flush every 5,000km. I noticed after the flush the oil would stay cleaner for longer if I didn't use the flush. Was spotless when I sold it. My BA Falcon LPG SVI injection duel fuel I've had since 2011. I flush every oil change but with it running on LPG mostly it's probably not needed. I've used most flushes. Nulon pro strength now but also liquid Moli as well. Despite the constant short trips these days, burns no oil and very smooth.

Can I just suggest using a oil to rinse! The engine before putting in the new oil so there is no flush left in the engine I have done this and I was very surprised how dark that oil came out after 10 mins of run time

I used this in my petrol nissan xtrail today, I emptied the oil into a clean bowl, it has 278k on the clock and there was clumpy shit in the oil, pretty much chunks of old oil.

Greetings from the USA! My 2008 Lexus IS250 has 130k miles on it. Not sure if I should flush my engine but I hear good stuff about it. My only concern is that if I do this, I wonder if I will affect my engine negatively. Will this improve any kind of oil consumption issues if there are any? I don’t burn an excessive amount of oil but I tend to wonder what the long term effects of this flush will do to my engine. Also I hear flushes make the engines run new again. If so that’s reason for me to do it as I love my old Lexus and she’s still in good condition. I want to keep my car a little longer.

This is from my personal experience, but every car consumes oil. It is a natural process of combustion engine. Engine will help you flush out the gunk of old oil and soot buildups, not make your engine runsnlike new again. That is total horseshit, haha. For long term effects, not much to be concerned about. It's a cleaning agent, dissolves in the oil and gets flushed out everytime you perform an oil change. I do this once every two oil changes to keep my car at tip-top shape. I have a 2004 Accord with 170k miles on and she's still kicking. Just remember to change your oil every 3500-5000 miles and you're gonna keep that car for a very long time.

@@luanphan2706I never done an actual engine flush on my Lexus before but now I will do it the next time I do an oil change perhaps. It’s very easy to do. Definitely wouldn’t do it every oil change that seems excessive. I already change the oil in my car every 3k miles.

Fair suck of the sav mate spend 50 cents at the local reject shop and buy a funnel. If you're a tight arse make one out of a corn flakes packet. My missus would smack my head in if I did that to her car.

Is this recommended for a 2 years old car? Or this process is reserved only for cars with more years and miles on it?

I would tend do this on cars with higher km’s rather than lower. But sometimes those lower km/rarely driven cars have their own issues - frequent short trips where oil doesn’t get to temp can cause other issues.

Can I drive to the nearest workshop after pouring the engine flush into my engine?

I would not recomend it, did you try this?. If you didnt DONT !. Its too risky, i would suggest adding it when you get to the workshop and let it idle for 10 minutes before you take it in. Idealy you should not rev the car with flush in the engine as the oil anti friction material is effected by it.

@@leethatsme1988 Nope I did not. I drove the the nearest workshop and ask the mechanic help me do it. Because the car was idle and engine oil sits in the car for more than 1 year. So I decided to flush it and change to a easily source brand new engine oil. Thank god, I did not do it. Thanks for the answer man !

Yeah no worries less than 10 klms and take it easy. I used to do mine with Diesel in the oil (It was a petrol motor) and drive it for the same sort of distance and it always helped. The blowby would always decrease.
