The music of this game is amazing because the composer is Kota Hoshino, thats why Armored Core and Chromehounds fans will feel a sense of nostalgia when listening to the soundtrack

Suggestion to everyone that wants to play this (awesome) game: don't do what George did. Dump all your money into researching MACHINEGUNS, not assault rifles. The rifles suck really bad. Machineguns start with a couple weak models, but quickly unlock CHAINGUNS, and chainguns rip. The game. Apart. Invest everything in machineguns and bazookas if you don't wanna be frustrated by the bosses.

The sound missing is actually a bug. They've been working on it to patch. There's also lighting issues they're trying to fix. The original looked less flatly shaded. The bloom lighting originally used didn't port well so there's a lot of patches prepared.

That glitch with the flickering windows is known as "Z-fighting", because the windows and the building are on the same Z distance from the camera so the game engine doesn't know what is supposed to cover what.

I had this ages ago on a modded xbox and wanted, to play it so badly but because all of the menu and shop elements were in japanese I had no idea what I was doing making it super hard to progress. Finally I can live the American dream, being the president in the mech taking on the evil vice president in a fight for freedom and my justice!

Maybe Death Stranding is the timeline where the President fails.

Soundtrack is genuinely amazing

I really hope the popularity of this game convinces From Software to re-release their Armored Core games and finally develop AC6. They used to be the best mech games around, and they stopped making them as soon as Dark Souls blew up. I just miss Armored Core, man.

If you liked certain songs from the OST for this, definitely checkout the soundtracks for Armored Core 4 and for Answer. Or, if you really want to go down the rabbit hole, check out Kota Hoshino's FROM SOFTWARE funded band "FreQuency." They've released two albums under that banner (SUNRISE and AC REPRISES). Definitely worth a deep dive, this music is of ridiculous high quality and rarely gets attention. Heck, OC Remix even has a tribute Album "The Answer." Enjoy!

I absolutely get it now, because I have similar feelings towards a game from a now renowned studio. But yeah, I'm officially sold on this game, thanks George! Shogo: Mobile Armor Division plays it straight, and the game is so unabashedly anime inspired it's intro video is basically an anime opening, with music to match and everything. I love it It's a bit of a notable game too, it was the first Monolith game to use their in-house engine, LitTech If you wanna pick it up, I highly suggest the GOG release, no DRM, extras and it goes for cheap often
