Congratulations on this great bike! I ride my absolute dream bike, a KX250 from 04 and it is just pure madness. Over time I have added a few parts and now she is barking. Can really recommend wider (titanium) footpegs and a different seat cover and you are pretty much goog to go for every track. If you have the budget you could add a Lectron carb too, helps with throttle response and fuel consumption, but I don't think you will feel a big difference after riding her on a few occasions. Do youself a favor and check the clearence of the exhaust control the next time you change out the piston. Had a failure where it peeked a little into the cylinder and damaged the piston to the point, where the shattert parts cracked the cylinder wall

man i wish i had nice chill tracks like this locally. all the tracks here are all super deep sand and extremely compact between turns and jumps and ur just worn out after 1 lap
Yeah luckily I have a nice mix of tracks all within a 3hr drive. Some chill places like this, some deep sand places, some perfectly ripped/prepped places, etc.
Same it took me awhile to finally get my hands on a good kx250 was on a klx230 for a cpl of months first but the 250 2 stroke a whole different bike & beast
bought my 05 kx250 a month ago been waiting one since James Stewart and the Eli tomac vid I saw love this thing beat a 2023 mc300 on a straight away with it
I have an 07 kx 250 last year of them i was considering selling. It hasnt ran in 3 years, so i took it out and it started 2nd kick and i rode it briefly. ive gotta say im not selling it now haha
I Wanna Get a Dirtbike ive always loved them ive had a few in the past and had such a big passion for them but never owned a big bike or anything like a 450 or 250 or anytime but i want one and im also a bigger and Taller dude. so i need something to carry me and be able to pull me well lol just figured id ask u Derek and see what you recommend for me but dude ive been watching u for so many Years man. keep it up man i love the content brother. YZ250 has better suspension and handles corners better stock. YZ definitely has more torque and probably a little more power overall but I personally like the powerband of the KX250 more. Feels like the KX revs up really quickly and it's easy to keep it screaming.
