I used to hate when people added the cobra jet badge on the shaker until I found out that Scott Hoag, who was in charge of the Mach 1 program originally wanted cobra jet badges on the shaker but didn’t pursue it due to costs. So I would never add them to mine but I don’t hate when other people add them to theirs. Also the Bullitt had those sail panels first so they were not only on the Mach 1’s.
This past summer I spent $25k on an ‘04 Mach 1 in Torch Red. I couldn’t resist, it’s built way more than a stock 03-04 Cobra and was basically the same price. Full disclosure, I have two Machs, both 2004’s. My other Mach 1 is Azure Blue and was half the cost. The red Mach has around 66,000 miles while the blue Mach has around 128,000. Anyhow, the red Mach was built (except for the engine) by the original owner who was an F35 fighter jet engineer. He was a really cool guy who was extremely meticulous and loved this car with a passion. The only thing stock on the engine is the block and the heads. Everything else is forged and extremely built. It’s a 5.1 stroker with a 2.9 Whipple sitting on top of it pushing 14 pounds of boost. All said the car puts out 717 rwhp and 663tq on pump gas. It (engine) was built and tuned by Premier Performance in Utah and tuned on a Dynojet. The rear end was gutted and rebuilt with 31 splines and 3.90 gears. The previous owner was obsessed with NMRA, so that’s what the car was purposely built for. The list of aftermarket goodies is way too long for a post on here, but I added it all up and it was nearly $40k worth of parts/labor. So it was a great deal, I’m pleased. This Mach 1 eats Cobras. Lol. Plans for the blue Mach? Well since getting the red one my plans for the blue one changed. It’s going to be tastefully modded to just be a cruiser for cars and coffee and somewhat a daily. Get the factory front springs back in the front as well in save in the front noise from rubbing and you'll have Great headlights again and Bet it takes alot of bounce out of the front of the car as well
I have an 03 mach 1 natural aspirated with about 92k on her full bolt on with lots of suspension work keep up the mach stuff love to find youtubers with mach 1 stuff oh and if you can pov driving bro and maybe alittle roll racing ....

I was thinking the bullit had those sail panels too but I could be wrong on that. *edit* I was correct bullit did get those sail panels first and they also had the same gauge cluster but redlined at 6k because of the 2v.
The Mach 1 is superior first of all because of how little they made it's made to be a collector just like the oldies and they kept it true with the ram air... less made more valuable. supply and demand. yes the terminator is sick.. but the mach 1 looks better.
They made pretty few terminators too. Only about 19000 over a two year run. There wasnt that many less machs. I love them both but the terminator is Def the better car. Of course the prices reflect that so it's all relative. They're both awesome cars but if you want something that can keep up nicely with today's modded muscle without having to build everything from front to back by just doing a simple blower swap and a fuel system you can make a pretty reliable 600-800 rwhp the cobra is that car. And to the op any real mustang fan knows what a Mach 1 is. They are great cars.
“Interior upgrade package” That’s not a package, it comes with the car. 💀 This is an awful review. 7 minutes in and all you have done is show an exhaust clip, talk about sail panel value, incorrectly explain seats, mention the bumper and your preferred cobra jet decal and mention how dirty the car is. I love New Edge reviews but man this one hurt.
