I think it's the coolest car ever!!! I'm in the market for a used one. It's quirky and cool and different and i love it. I'm very sad BMW decided to stop making them. This car will be a cult classic like the VW Beetle. Thanks for sharing and enjoy.
I agree 100%! It's such a fun car, and honestly one of the few that I've owned that I feel a strong emotional attachment to. Critics of EV's often say that EV's lack "soul", but the i3 really has that quirky and fun factor that few cars seem to be able to achieve. I definitely agree that this will hold a beetle-like cult status for many years. I was heartbroken when I heard that they were discontinuing it.
The 2014 i3, when is came out, was the fastest BMW from 0 to 30 mph. Tried it, what a rocket. Just got my 2014 60 Ahr and it is a delight in every way. I use it for what it was intended for, a run around town daily. I live in the country, so my trips are one way there and back within the charge range. The battery is as good as new, no degradation at all.
If you never tried one - do so. Nobody wants to buy these used because of "range angst" - which is nonsense if you have some average commute to work. Very "zippy" and it comes with really tight turning radius...perfect for city driving and it does not feel like a compromise - just the opposite: real fun to step on the accelerator and leaving basically everyone in the dust.
Love the review and i3. My only constructive feedback is on being aware of saying "uhmm" too often. It gets to become predictable and annoying. Try watching your video and anticipate you saying it. You will see what Im talking about. Other than that, keep up the good work

My 176 miles . I have the same car .if you live in cold weather the miles dropS. BUT REGULAR WEATHER 70 degrees the car will give you good mileage. Sometimes 140 or 176. Depends on the weather of the day..
Unfortunately not on the older ones like this. I cannot speak to the newer ones, but I doubt it. The infotainment screen is pretty bare bones, but it gets the job done.
I have a 2014 i3 and really do like it. But I do NOT like the way BMW has handled the discontinuation of 3G in some of these cars. Owners of these cars are losing important features that they PAID for. I get that this situation was beyond their control but they could have offered an upgrade or something like other companies have. Either way I am getting rid of my BMW and I don’t think I will be buying another one. The car WAS fine and the company sucks.
What about the tires Can you put regular tires on it. As I was told that the ones on there are very expensive to replace. And there is no tire jack so what do when you get a flat tire and at what tire pressure should you keep it at?
The tires don't seem to be abnormally expensive. From a quick check it looks like they are on par price-wise with most standard sedan tires. We are actually about to have new tires put on within the next few weeks, so I will find out and update you for sure!
