I love those 420. I own 2. Thought tractor. We got them to plow snow and skid some log out of the wood. Being doing it since new. And still start every morning. Just got to check them pretty good ones a week to you dont brake the front axle or bell housings
I'm looking at a 420AN and don't find much information on it. Supposedly 57 hp, 4 wheel drive, made in 1991 with only about 200 hrs $5,000 asking price. Good deal if everything works? I need something to bush hog and keep the gravel driveway up.
Do you happen to know where the hydraulic relief valve for the 3PH is on these tractors? Mine just stopped working today and from everything i read online its the relief/distributor valve stuck open, but i cant seem to find it anywhere. I have a 400 Belarus but it looks the same as your 420. Thanks!
Yes a 400 is just a 2wd version, of the 420. There should be 3 valve levers on right side of dashboard underneath dash is valve body, if i recall the relief is on the bottom side of the main valve body. I had trouble like that with my 3pt and needed to adjust the valve in the back behind the seat you may have it stuck in float and rebuild 3pt cylinder seals
@@jonathantarrant2449 thanks for the reply, just looked and can't seem to find the relief on the main, but when I crack the lines for the 3ph on the rear control valve behind the seat and engage the lever on the dash, it gushes out oil. Where might I find the lever to make sure it didn't slip into float? Thanks again from Ontario Canada lol
There should be a second valve body directly behind the seat, on the left hand side of it there are two small levers one looks like a triangle with a ball on the end, l believe it goes all the way to the right when looking at the back of the tractor toward the front. Then there is a 2nd matchstick sized lever, l believe it goes all the way up. I believe i have video where i show the valve as my front end loader stopped working because it got into float.
I used shell rotella, or the canadian tire version made by shell. Check your local climate for the oil weight, depending on where you live it could be sae30 or 10w30 or 15w40. Personally l would not run synthetic oil in these old engines, use a dino oil.
Yes it is located in Lipetsk, on the labels of the cabin it is written, though in Russian. The motor is not whimsical, it is necessary to wash liners and heads sometimes. And so you have an export tractor, made very well. If there is an opportunity to learn more about hydraulics, what is behind the unit located behind the tractor, in our tractors this was not installed, only for export. It is a pity that there are small problems with understanding English. It would be clearer. Health to you and your family, greetings from Belarus.
I'll post in another video maybe this weekend. It basically controls the three point float/draft position cylinder under the seat. There is a couple selectors on the left hand side I'll go over. If I remember, I'll take the manual so I can explain how its explained in there.
