To get it off you screw it in you say? I'm trying to see if I'm going the wrong direction, there are no instructions. I got a right hand kit that didn't work and I am hoping this is a left hand kit.
A right hand kit would remove a left hand thread (not common). Most common screws are right hand (tightened clockwise) so they have to be removed with a counter-clockwise rotation thus requiring a left hand threaded device. I hope that makes sense. This kit I'm using is a left hand kit for removing right hand screws/bolts.
Um my number 1 extractor broke in the drilled hole. 😢😂. Now a drill bit won’t even drill a hole anymore because the extractor is made of harder material than the bit. Fail for me. 😏
Yikes! I'm no machinist, you should consult with one, but my guess would be to get a carbide end mill and mill through the bit. Go slow and use lots of Tap Magic cutting oil, the re-tap the hole and insert a heli-coil.
