Thanks for this! I started this plan this year. Ive never read the bible in one year. Ive always read it multiple times a year, so the slower pace has been nice having gotten a good grasp of my bible. I spend about 15-20 mins or more on each chapter mediating and praying over what I read and rereading as necessary. I listen to the days readings as well on my way to and from work. Pairing it with Matthew Henrys concise commentary allows me to dig deeper and get good meat without getting too bogged down with commentaries. Doing it the way im doing it satisfies that craving of wanting to read 20 chapters as Im still able to saturate my mind in the word woth lots of reading. God bless!

Just finished this plan. First time reading through the NKJV and I have to say I was very impressed. Now, unlike before, I am hungry for MORE! I want to find a series that delves into each and every book of the bible. Suggestions?

This is my favorite bible reading plan. It is hard to steer away from because for me it takes away some of the hum drum that Biblical reading has sometimes. The hum drum I believe is only because we may not understand all of the customs and way language was interpreted or words used in relation to how they are used now in this day and age. The key to not letting the knowledge puff one up, become charitable. Donate to charities I.e. the local church, various children’s and third world countries, disparity plagued persons. And people groups. Donate your time and resources, not in You honor but for His Glory. Amen!

That's awesome! This is first exposure to him. I'm interested in learning more about him. Do have any suggestions on where I should start?

I'm going through this plan this year and it has been wonderful! It takes commitment. Usually I read through in the morning and then I'll sometimes listen to a sermon that corresponds with one of the readings throughout the day or I'll go into a more in depth study as well with my concordance.

That’s awesome. How do you find sermons for the passages?

@@ChaseCarrington well I really enjoy the teachings of John McArthur because his are expository and in depth. He has many sermons that cover the new testament readings.

Thanks for this description! I’d like to read through chronologically first and then possibly go through this plan.

I did something similar reading in the traditional order first.

I've heard of the M’Chenye reading plan but haven't yet used it. I'm currently working through the Prof. Grant Horner plan. It has been extremely beneficial.

Thank you for the plan recommendation. It looks like a very interesting reading plan. I may have to do a video about it in the future. What do you like most about this plan?

@@ChaseCarrington I primarily like the pace of it. 10 chapters a day is a pretty quick clip but you get to read through the gospels 4 times, the Pentateuch 2x, Paul's letters 4-5x, Wisdom books 6x, Psalms 2x, and both Proverbs and Acts 12x. Even though the pace is fast, the repetition makes things stick for me. It's probably not for someone who hasn't read cover to cover but for someone who has done that a few times and has a good grasp of the overarching themes, this plan might be beneficial.
