I own this watch too. I purchased mine in 2014 and still love it. It’s the aesthetics of the watch that hooked me and the lume is insane. Also with almost infinite aftermarket strap options you can feel as though you’re getting a new watch with each strap.
I am glad you clarified Sly's acting ability I nearly fell off my chair when you said awesome actor. He was good in the 80's and 90's you knew what you were getting when you went to see one of his film's and the acting wasn't why you went to see them, all action movies. You are right about other types of watches no-Rolex SS sports. Now is the time to buy 2nd hand. If you want to speculate or just buy some watches you always wanted but didn't want to pay retail.
Anon Ymous well, he’s still acting the exact same way now as he did back then. So, if he was good in the 80s and 90s then he’s still good today. The quality of the films he’s in definitely degraded over time, though. He tried to get away from being typecast as the a Tino guy with Cop Land and while the critics praise him, it didn’t go down well with his fans. Hence he’s back at the action game. By no means is he a bad actor, though. He’s, for the lack of a better word, a one-trick pony, but so are most of the acting “stars”. They all play the same guy in each and every movie. That doesn’t mean that they’re not entertaining, though.
Thanks for the amazing review. You’ve actually helped narrow down my top pick for my 1st Panerai. I’m on the fence between the PAM 422, PAM 423, PAM 312, or the PAM 1312. At the end of the day I’m just debating on the 44 or 47mm. Decisions decisions!!
Hey Jeremy! They’re all great! I love the 1312 but for some reason the blue kills it for me. If my girlish wrist could pull off a 47 MM I would get the Pam372 in a heartbeat. I like the minimal look of the 422 vs the 423.
WatchWithMe you are absolutely right! I actually realized the blue dial took away from the look completely and my wife was even like “ummm but what’s up with the blue dial?” So yeah the 422 is the one for me when I’m finally ready for it! Thanks again!
Also the backing too. 312 has the see through back. I was in the same position as you. Plus the demand for this specific model is much higher and you would be able to get out of it if ya ever wanted to move on.
Is there a way to change the date without rotating the hour mark? So if i had to change the date to the next 20 days, i have to rotate the hour mark 20x24hours?? That takes a lot of time
