Review of the Topping E30 II DAC 

I was thinking of buying this to pair with my L30 II but elected to go with the topping dx3 pro+ which paired pretty decent for the price

The SMSL D-6 has similar AKM chipset but comes with a Bluetooth receiver as well. Wouldn't mind a review of the SMSL DAC as compared to the Topping E30 II.

Reviews in a vacuum without comparisons are not enough IMO. There are many other products that do the same thing and you can say the same stuff about them as well.

Suggestion - while features and functionalities are important, detailed coverage of the sound quality is essential for review of an audio gear to be considered complete. This falls woefully short on that front. Suggest referring to channels like cheapaudioman or Darko Audio where they discuss tracks they've played on an equipment and highlight aspects of the sound. Finally - the DAC chip plays only a part in the overall sound reproduction and the price of the chip itself might not influence the overall DAC price. So you can have widely varying prices as well as sound qualities with DACs which might use the same chip internally but have quite different engineering. For e.g. the RME ADI-2 DAC FS costs almost 10 times the original Schiit Modi even though they use the same AK4493 chip inside.

Need comparisons

How does this compare with something like the D10S or something a little more expensive? I have the L30ii on the way and currently have the D10S. Great review 👍

My current normal E30 also supports 32bit. So pretty sure that's not something new with the chip.

Offtopic question :D whats your opinion of the Dunu Zen Pro? Im thinking of getting one :)

Hello, I have a question if you can connect your phone to the USB plug and listen to music

USB3.0 provides 5V of power so I can see why they didn't provide power adapter... This DAC will get all the power it needs from any moderately recent computer from the USB 3.0 port.

Why the f would I buy a DAC that doesn't even have a headphone output.

I can't switch it to preamp for some reason.

While I actually like hearing negative reviews as it seems practically all reviews/reviewers are positive like they're almost trying to sell you on something to get an affiliate commission, having just come from a video giving a negative review of this product, I am happy to hear a positive one considering how I just bought the thing. I'm keeping my fingers crossed in hopes that your thoughts align more with my own, such that this DAC will sound good to my ears and I'll be happy when I get it in a few days.

Your review is worthless because you are making disparaging assumptions about the device, even before performing the test. Tests must be done unconditionally. Also, you make it appear that the E30 II only works with the l30, which is just ridiculous.

who would want volume adjustment on a DAC like this? unless this thing is used in direct Dac mode this thing is probably going to sound like shit
