Hi! This is my honest review of the West Elm Harmony Sofa 92" after 2 years of use. I bought the regular depth, in "Chenille Tweed, Frost Grey"

A couch at this price point shouldn’t be in such rough shape after only two years. I have an ikea couch that has held up better for almost ten years. We were seriously considering buying this WE sofa to replace the ikea one, but not anymore.

Totally agree! I bought an Ashley sofa that lasted longer than this WE piece! At year 5 I needed to stuff the back cushions but other than that it was a great buy at that time. I also had a custom sofa that started to break down after a year. I was looking at WE thinking it would be longer lasting. At that price I'll continue my search for a better quality sofa. It looks great but durability is my #1 concern.

So sorry about your cat! We are considering this one too so we just wanted to ask you a few questions. How many time have you washed the cover and if it is still water and stain resistant after all? And what kind of fabric that you have for your sofas? Thank you!!!

It’s chenille tweed in frost grey! I have only washed the covers once in cold water but they have really held up against stains. I keep a blanket over it a lot to protect it from my wine and snacks 🙃 I know you can also buy a spray fabric protectant but I never did that! Let me know if you have any more questions. I will probable be washing the covers again soon and maybe I will post a video on how they hold up. 🥰

Love your review. I wanted to know.. What is the width of your doorway. Because, doorway going into my apartment is fine. However, the second entrance is only 32 inches in width. I really want to get rid of my old couch 🛋. (Sooo frustrating) Thinking about getting the harmony sofa. Want to make sure it fits through my door lol . Thanks so much for watching! The width of my door frame is 36”. They delivery team turned the sofa sideways and angled it in, but didn’t have a problem. They can also remove the legs if needed! Good luck with changing out your sofa! And God bless you and your family as well 😘❤️💫

Hey, what is the depth on that sofa? I tried the 41 in store and loved it but ended up ordering the 36 because it ships much faster. I am not sure if the 36 in will be enough room for two people to lay side by side, also the 41 appears to come with extra pillows that provide more support. Thoughts?

I am so sorry about your cat! We are considering to get this couch. Is the couch sturdy? I have two dogs(60 lbs and 30 lbs) who play on the couch and jump on it. Wanna know if it can hold up.

I would say it’s pretty sturdy yes, but it does slide around a bit because the wooden legs are smooth on the bottom and it doesn’t “grip” to the floor. As far as the base of the sofa itself bring sturdy, it definitely is. And well made.

I worked at West Elm in the past. I would never recommend the Chenille, Tweed, or Linen fabrics as they wear fast because it is a thin fabric. Always get the performance velvet for durability or anything that mentions "performance".

My sofa also sunk down....I have the chase on the end (where that happened). I went on Amazon and bought a piece of sponge like hard material to put under my sofa cushion.. (Chase part) and it really helps...I also cover my couch with a soft thin blanket, the same color as my couch to save as much as I can from it deteriorating...I'm sorry about your cat....

We have the sectional. Poorly made (we had to repair the frame ourselves because it arrives broken 3 times) so we have seen the entire inside. It's obviously thrown together quickly using low-grade plywood. They use plywood blocks in the corners for reinforcement and those reinforcement blocks were missing on our couch - we had to add them in. We finally got some money back for the couch, but it was still way too expensive for the quality. Harmony seat cushions are thin, too. If you sit down hard, you'll hit the bottom of the couch. It's just a really cruddy, cheaply made couch and an even worse company.

Thanks for the thorough review. You really covered everything in detail. Thos is the best WE upload I've found. I was looking at West Elm furniture. It was recommended to me. The price is right for me but I'm looking for something longer lasting. I got more use out of an Ashley sofa! (Can I just say losing your cat is the saddest thing. People go through worse loses than a cat. My child passed away last year so your comment did turn me off subscribing.)

The Harmony soft is NOT worth the money AT ALL! We have had the couch for over a year. It is not well made, not particularly comfortable, and the pillows shed feather constantly and have to be constantly fluffed. Fortunately we got $1200 off the couch (30%) because the delivery guys couldn't get it together properly due to the construction. It still wasn't worth the money. Had I paid $3500 - 4000 for the couch I would have been livid. I was wary of the fact that there were no reviews allowed on the West Elm site, only YT vids like this one. All I can say is, DO NOT buy this couch. You can get a WAY better couch for this kind of money. I will not be buying anything from West Elm again.
