How do I turn off the background music?

Those are the lights I ve been missing since my childhood...Im definitely investing in new lights now that I've discovered #thru-tone

Thanks for the review! I was interested in the lights, but though I like the bulbs and the authentic size and shape, I want am not keen on just being limited to the vintage colors (I want yellow and purple too), I also want the option to buy a box of a single color... I hope they do well, though, the bulbs look great! I already invested in a spool of new stringer, and boxes of LED C9s this year, but the shape is definitely more narrow than I would have liked. What is the Facebook group for Christmas Lights that you mentioned?

Those look pretty good! I went to buy some a few weeks ago, and they already sold out. I still use c7, and c9 incandescent bulbs outside. I'd like to see them manufacture old cone shaped c7 bulbs like GE used to make. I have a set of 25 really old GE bulbs up on the porch, on a dimmer control. Those have amazing color, even dimmed for longer life. I also use blue bulbs in my window candoliers. Check out my Christmas light videos if you get a chance! Great video. Really did bring back great memories of those childhood Christmas’s. My dad always put up multicolored and the neighbors always had all red. I grew up in Ohio so they would shine against the snow at night and were absolutely beautiful.

Omg the glow on the bushes is mesmerizing. Looked exactly how our Christmas tree used to look like.

I have developed such an intense pining for vintage Christmas lights and decorations. No surprise really, considering how ugly and soulless things have gotten. I still put up a real old fashioned C9 string outside across the top of the garage. I always worry about the power drain.. This is cool, I had no idea such good dupes were out there!

The red Tru-Tone bulbs look like the color of the newer red C9 bulbs (1980s to 2000s incandescent vintage) painted on the outside type. I think the early 1970s and older reds (painted on the inside) were a deeper red and lightly different color than the late 1980s to 2000s red color bulbs (painted on the outside only).

I love the c7 and c9 ceramic bulbs only thing for me right now is these are too expensive right now.

Just bought 200 of these in C9 for my new roof lights. Stoked for them.

I just recently found out about these Tru-Tone bulbs. The large sets were all sold out for the season on there website so I ordered two of the different C7 sample 5 packs to see how they look and to see how cool they run. Supposed to be here Tuesday. I'm looking forward to checking them out. They sure do look nice and bright on your bushes. Merry Christmas everyone!

I do recall a huge variety of ceramic and glass bulbs back in the day too. Flashers, gorgeous pastels and candy colors, jewel tones. And occasionally even a shaped fancy bulb.. those are so rare now. I wish someone would make them again!

How do these compare to the C9 opticore lights? They also make a opaque colored light that’s received good reviews.

how did the LED's hold up over the season? At 3 times the price per bulb at least, I'd hope that they are durable and last a long time.

As soon as strands become available I'll be all over these!

Great review! Not sure it's worth mentioning this was "American designed" since the whole point is to have manufacturing in America for quality and to support your fellow American, not having it all made in China. They look interesting.

The ones with the paint inside are actually the pastel color style lamps.

Awesome review! They are sold out for 2021 but I’m hoping to jump on these as soon as I can for next Christmas!!! You mentioned they don’t come with the cord. Do you know where I can find cords for them! Also not sure if you mentioned if you’d use these on the house or indoors and with the cords so old would it be safe to use indoors? Are these glass or plastic

The cordsets are crap. The ones I had that my Dad put up were C9 ceramic lights, triple dipped in paint. Couldn't tell they were on until night time. No chips or cracks and they were not translucent. Yes, they got hot, but we had enough common sense to not touch them while they were on and we made sure that there was a different color so no two would be in the same section, before repeating. Once they were up, couldn't reach them to touch them anyway. So I don't get why people are worried about how hot they get. As long as they don't cause a fire, they're fine. I also don't know what you're talking about that raises the electric bill. Our bills didn't have a major significance when they were used. We used to put them up in a basement. As for the cordsets being crap, they are junk. The ones my Dad had were a pair of red and green wire, cloth like cord with bake lite plugs on each end, and black bake lite C9 sockets with a metal clip. They were the best. The LEDS are crap too.
