Totally love this TV. Just bought it after checking out other brands and also my dad's latest LG TV in April 2021. No regrets buying it. Love its remote control which has short-cut buttons, and the tv's multi-functions, eg. can ask Google to check time and weather while watching videos. Very proud that it is a Singaporean brand! Kudos.

Btw, got my Q55 yesterday. As requested, the delivery guy mounted the tv on the wall using the bracket with swivel. The sound was good. Can't even tell the speaker was at the bottom of the tv. Picture quality & colours are awesome. Except that black area looks more like dark grey but I'm ok with it. Overall, its a good buy. Worth the $.

At 2:52 the HDMI1 port does not have "ARC" labeled next to the port. Is the HDMI1 really ARC compatible as it says in the Tech Specs? Anyone care to share a real example of successfully connecting the Q55 to an HDMI ARC compatible soundbar? Do share the brand/model of the soundbar.

Hi, appreciate your video done up! However, i'm having difficulties with the chromecast feature on my TV. Is there something i must switch on/to or the TV screen to be showing (something?) before i can do the casting? Im currently using a samsung phone but it doesnt work with the samsung built in smart view. Thanks!

Chromecast is via Wifi so the phone and TV must be on the same wifi network. Then, if all things work well, the phone should show the TV as an option you can select as external display.

I have this problem where pictures are pixilated on certain apps like viu, singtel tv go, bein connect, etc. Would you share what is the best picture setting for this tv? Or it simply because its an ip stream issue? But i dont have this issue on samsung tv

Mine keeps hanging despite quite a handful of factory resets… also, have to switch on and off at the plug before the tv can switch on…

No because Chrome is not available on Android TV through the Google Play Store. It’s not a so called optimised app for Android TV. The alternative is to download the APK and sideload it.

Hi, thanks for the great review. I would like to check how good this 4k TV is for PC work ie. connecting laptop/PC to the 4K TV. I couldn't find information on whether the TV supports 4:4:4 chroma subsampling which I understand will affect whether text that you view on-screen looks fuzzy or not. And no mention of video processing latency when connected to PC/laptop. Appreciate your advice. Thanks!

For picture: does it has Individual/separate control/ adjustments for Brightness, Contrast, colour saturation, hue, video presets etc? 2. For sound: does it has Individual/separate controls for treble, bass and preset audio? Appreciate help. Thanks

Hi. Can I ask how is the TV holding up after 5 months? Also how does it perform in a well sunlit room? Does the image get washed out by bright sunlight and are the reflections in well lit rooms distracting?

I no longer have the TV. Anyway, the visual quality is as you see in the video. In the video, the TV is just beside my window with strong sunlight outside

Doesn't seem to be adjustable. Wasn't able to find a way to adjust the brightness.

@@teohyc PSA: just got mine, its adjustable, need to go to any one of the hdmi inputs and press menu, click more, find tv settings, then you can adjust all the image/sound/MEMC settings

Slightly reflective but not as issue unless you have light source directly in front of the TV.

I've not seen that Samsung TV before so I can't say. It's best if you can see the actual TV in store. PRISM+ now has a retail store somewhere for walk-in customers.

It's not suitable for use as a computer monitor. Not sure about chroma subsampling, but the text does not look as good compared to a proper computer monitor.

Personally I go with the specs. The specs can kinda tell you the quality you can example. Different brands with similar specs should provide similar image quality. And then there's customer service and for that you have to check reviews online and I don't mean those from the manufacturer's website. Go to Google Maps, Amazon, online forums, or even YT to find reviews.

@@vharikrishna Not sure about processor. But I won't recommend running taxing Android apps on this. It's really mostly for playing videos, e.g. streaming, console gaming.

They provide wall mounting services for extra charges. Basic setup is just fixing the legs to the TV and that is simple

Woah, that is one huge tv haha, definately an attention grabber if you'd have guests over. Personally, large tvs like this give me headaches while watching. This is also why i dont watch movies at movie theatres. I prefer smaller screens.

great review thumbs up.....but...like most reviewers...they forget something very important..... the dimensions of the stand..... this will allow viewer to prepare the console table width..... now i still dont know what depth table width the console to buy....shucks....

I believe that the tv does not allow install apk file as well a downloading from browser. So this is a minus point since it claim to be an android TV. How can you miss this test Yi Chie.

There are a lot of apps that are missing from the Google Play Store too because they can't be installed on this TV OS

@@teohyc I am not talking about those from playstore is third party apk apps. Anyway the storage only have 5gb so I think also can't install much apps.
