Comparing the $800 budget 4K TV picture quality. I put Prism+ TV Q55, Prism+ TV Q55-QE, iFFALCON K71and Xiaomi Mi TV 4S together in this video. The opinions expressed and direction of this video are MY OWN. I am biased to good things.
On the other hand prism is now working on the issues. If there is an improvement. As I told Prism, I welcome them to share it here.

Finally found my voice here. Recently I purchased a Q series 43 inch. I was wondering why I can't find negative things about prism but I understand why after watching the RU-vid videos. RU-vidrs in Singapore posted videos and leave good comments and recommendations about prism. However, the blacklight issue is really a headache but no one posted videos about it. Prism also told me that the blacklight issue is not considered as a tv problem. After arguing with them, I just don't want to waste time and I'm going to sell it online.

I usually test and study products for a month before going into production. If it fails I return it. I also had the chance to gather diff tv side by side for a comparison. This chance may not be available to others. So they can’t tell where it stands. It looks good on its own

Hey! Thanks so much for this excellent comparison. I realised that the Mi TV 4S has 5Ghz support for WiFi while the Prism and iFFalcon offerings are limited to the 2.4Ghz band. Would this impact the streaming experience at 4K (esp 4K60 on RU-vid) since it requires considerably more bandwidth? Thanks once again!

Great review. I believe the new Xiaomi P1 55" is the new budget king. It's WCG should be > IFFALCON. My only worry is its brightness (312 nits in 10% window) - won't be good enough for proper HDR specular highlights. Another dislike is the reflective glossy VA screen - good only for a really dark room. Then again, it's to be expected at this price point.

AU7000 is a budget tv by Samsung that's not displayed in retail stores. So it is hard to see the image quality. Features wise it's much more backwards, because it is an older model that doesn't support the latest formats like dolby vision. I suggest you look for newer models that support dolby vision so you won't miss these colours on Netflix. I will release new TV videos soon but you have to wait, cus I'm a bit slow. Hahahaha Also Samsung doesn't use android TV but their own kind of os.

Thanks for the honest comparison. i'm considering Q55-QE due to the decent display quality and fair price point.. however due to the backlight bleeding, this brand will fall for option no.3,4 or 5... haha

At 6:26, I see that the iFfalcon brightness was set to max. Did you set all the TV brightness to max for a fair comparison?

Excellent question! Iffalcon and Xiaomi do not have any backlight option. The brightness option increases the backlight. Prism Q has both backlight and brightness. The backlight increases the backlight. But the brightness on the prism increases some kind of gamma and fades the black and colors. So it is hard to increase this. Q55qe backlight is 100 at 3:21 As u said, iffalcon is 100 too at 6:26. But the image is still usable. To be fair. I increased all brightness on all TV. That’s the point of this. Prism also preliminary explaination to me that the Qe may not be reading this HDR video well. But surprisingly the old Q55 could. But I tested non hdr videos too. The brightness is still lower than Xiaomi…

I subscribed to your channels immediately after watching this video. It is hardly finding a RU-vidr now in Singapore produced such a professional product review video and you are the first one to tell anyone what’s the problem with PRISM. I hardly saw any RU-vidr pointing PRISM any bad things. I feel cheated after bought their tv. All advertised their price so cheap, really? Bought the 55-inch last year at $699, I can buy Xiaomi for less than this price. The quality far behind Xiaomi. The whole tv body looks so cheap and they claimed to support HDR10 and Quantum Dot version, these all are fake advertising. I watch Netflix with HDR10 movies nearly the color is extremely washed out. Their quantum dot version =cheap led IPS panel. Their customer service said it’s normal. What can I say? I realized the QLED panels are all made by VA panel which your video has pointed out as the main point. Don’t know how many people will still be going to be cheated and have to say their marketing is too strong. That’s what I can praise of them but not a product.

Hi. Thanks for the awesome review. I'm caught bet getting the Prism 75 inch QLED vs the 65 inch OLED One being the price and the other being the OS. The 75 inch one runs on Google TV while the 65 inch OLED runs on Android TV. Wld like to hear from you ur opinion on these 2 models and hope to hear from u real soon. Tks!

This content just answer my question. I go for xiaomi. So far all my xiaomi gadget in good condition. Just need to replace my old sony NX710 lcd tv. Btw no tv design can replace the beauty of sony nx710/720. Cant go for oled version bcos out of budget. For now i gonna take xiaomi 65". Is really good if u can compare between xiaomi 4s & p1. I will say the same ips panel as Q55-QE, I forgot to mention in this video they have added a “polarising film” built inside this tv, I can see it from the side, that increases the contrast and saturation. It’s a bad move as it decreases the brightness. Overall the TV isn’t as bright as it’s predecessor Q55 considering QE backlight is already at its max 100 in the standard profile. They added the far field mic on the pro (same as iffalcon)

My dear. If you want to increase the brightness of the picture, it is the contrast or (white level) that you should increase. Not the TVs Brightness adjustment. By increasing the tvs Brightness levels (black levels), you are increasing the blacks.

@MADS is navigating the apps on iFFALCON slow/laggy or smooth/quick? i hate those mainstream "Smart TVs" (samsung, LG, Sony) where the manufacturers use their own customised IU which cause there to be a significant lag when changing apps.

The lag also increases over the years. That’s why I gave up on my old big brand TVs. Iffalcon, Prism, Xiaomi are all on android 9. Only QE is on android 10. Not much lag on all TV. You can download a TV guard app. Helps to kill background running apps like what android phone does

Have you any idea, whether Prism is made in China too, although I read somewhere that Prism's screen is from LG. What about iFFalcon? The point about where is it made, is that, I don't want to plonk a few hundred bucks and it breaks down. Might as well plonk in a few more hundred for a reputable brand. Think peace of mind.

Sometimes prism+ on standby. And when I turn it on it does not turn on. I will then need to switch of the main and then turn it on.

Which model? Go to hdmi 1> source> tv settings> enable fast boot and standby. See if it helps

Why I bought prism. The other 2 Brands did not have anything above 55 inches available in Singapore. What a lot of people forget, the higher the resolution of the tv, the closer you have to sit to appreciate the higher resolution. E.g for 4K 55 inch tv, you should sit around 55 to 70 inches away from the tv.

I think iffalcon sold out on 65 last week. Xiaomi has 75 for upcoming Q1 but no 65 options for p1.

@@madsncakes 55 inch would be the bare minimum to enjoy the 4k resoloution on your tv screen. 65 inch would give a more comfortanle viewing distnce. 75 inches is actually ideal for most hdb homes for 4 rooms and above. (2 - 3m away from tv screen)

Could you check which TV retains your custom picture settings (motion blur off, noise reduction off) in HDR mode. HDR mode will autoswitch when hdr video is played back. After purchasing mi tv 65 inch, I was disappointed whenever I play HDR videos. The HDR preset is permanent, I can't change it at all. Do update us, I find that no reviewers talk about this.

@@madsncakes oh dear that's not what I meant. Try changing noise reduction from Medium to OFF. then play HDR content, it will automatically revert back to medium. This frustrates me honestly. The same goes for other settings like brightness, contrast, motion blur, etc. Anything you change will be reverted back, ughh.

Any chance you could make a follow-up video regarding this. i.e. comparing those TVs if they have similar issues. A PSA for buyers who do not want to get disappointed with their purchase. Would be great to have some recognition since you're a well known content creator for xiaomi devices. They might also be forced to do something, firmware update, just because you made it aware to the public too! I have a Sony Android TV too, it saves HDR mode no problems.

lucky your issues are addressed on social media. if you regular customer, they will ask you to ownself bring your tv to their bendemeer office for them to take a look. yes, you will be asked to literally carry a 50+inch tv back to their office for them to see. then will try their best to tell u nothing wrong

Xiaomi's product is really valuable, but it does not really last very long as it seems. My tv start to have some noise after 1+ years, and the corner of the screen has white light, which is really frustrating when showing some pure colour and connecting the tv to my laptop. Is this called blacklight bleeding? I bought this tv online and the warranty is over, don't know who can I approach to fix this problem

Let me just put it this way. All panels will look the same after some time. Why? Because after you purchase one, there will not be an A B comparison. You won't even know if you are looking at the best panel or the mid tier panels ( yeah well cheap ones are pretty easy to see via eye test). My point is, unless you have 2 or 3 panels to do side by side comparison, you won't see any difference after some time. Also, if you want a product at say 100% score for example, getting from 95% score to 100% score will cost you an arm and a leg to get there. So, good enough can liao. 😂
