Still hoping for the Carbon Version with removable Liner. I have the feeling that Seba might have a Deal with Leon Basin to not bring them out. Cause the wizard guys have a linerless carbon Version with their intuition in it. But please Seba, think about it, bring them out. It would be just so much more easy to find the perfect size for us Skaters. Cause now we have to read tons of comments and recommendations to get the right size to gut and put an intuition in. But when we are unlucky we end up with the wrong size. (Yes, thats what happend to me sadly) Thanks for the detailed video guys

The SX were the first boot that ever fit me perfectly. Sadly they have recently fallen apart, and I'm eyeing off the CJ2s atm. I have flat feet, maybe a bit wide too. The massive toe box is soooo nice. I do a lot of toe tricks. I got a new insole with a decent heel which stopped my heel from hurting after longer sessions.

 @Thisissoul Hello, i suppose there is no metal plate underfoot for power transfer? I have FR UFR Intuition with rockin 4x100 but between my 2m/90Kg and the height of the frame, I do feel like I lose lot of power transfert. I think it comes from the the mount and torsion from the boot. Would a CJ plastic better or do I have to go carbon (really expensive) to have a good power transfer with an UFS boot? The is an adaptator with the rockin frame, so maybe it would be better to go 165mm like FR1 or Twister XT which both have metal plates. Trinity should be great too but I could not keep my frame... Thx

@justanothernoobe
@justanothernoobe Месяц назад
Awesome explanation of the differences between the versions - literally the first I've come across. I'm tossing up between the FR UFR, Faction Tactical Midnight or the SEBA CJ 2 Prime for a pair of aggressive skates. I have a wide toe-box but narrow heels so need the ankle strap to lock in my heel. I love the Faction in white but they seem to scuff and mark easily so I think maybe the SEBA CJ as they have the skid plate already mounted to the side of the toe-box to prevent damage to the boot. I think the Faction comes with a skid-plate but you have to drill the holes and fit yourself, so it doesn't feel like the boot was really designed for that? The UFR's look great and will no-doubt take a lot more scuff-abuse but I think maybe a less rigid boot might be better for aggressive skating? If only I could afford the plane ticket to come to Amsterdam for a week to try on different boots!
@Thisissoul
@Thisissoul Месяц назад
all those 3 skates are great skates. dont worry about the skid plate too much both the faction and the cj are wide. the forward flex is the biggest diference between the cj and faction. the faction is more flexy and the cj is more stiff.

Excellent content on this topic of comfortable boot. I was wondering if this flat ( opposed to raised heel ) set -up is a preferable or at least equally ergonomic option for longer trails I. e. Longer trips ?? I have been wondering this for the last few months ..so I am really looking forward to your answer. Regards from R.O.I. Chris
@blanked_out_chin
@blanked_out_chin 2 года назад
Most people will use a heel shock absorber in a flat boot to help raise their heel anyway (as mention by Eric in this video). Plus you're wheels will most likely be touching at the same time (unless you're wizard rockering them). If you were to ask me if a raised heel will give you more or less power transfer over flat boot without mods, that's over my head.

Bladeville has technical details regarding the cj2 prime shells. They say that the eu43 is its own shell. Would you be able to corroborate or rebut this?
@Thisissoul
@Thisissoul Год назад
the CJ2 has 41-42 and 43-44 combined in one shell. if they say it is separate, then they are wrong. to make the difference between the size, seba put some material at the front of the 42 cj2 to make it feel like a 41. On the outside thoug, you can not tell the difference.

@Martz604
@Martz604 Год назад
Hello! I used your video as a reference for deciding on the size of my Seba CJ2s (integrated liner plastic version) and selected the EU 42 version which has a Mondopoint of 27 cm according to the tag. My feet are 27.8 cm and they fit decently comfortably with a little toe touching. You mentioned that you are a size EU 45 but you'd actually select an EU 43 CJ due to the break in. So I figured I'd be safe going with EU 42 since the plastic version does dual sizing with EU 41/42 and EU 43/44 and I don't want the overly huge EU 44 version for my foot size. The first time I skated mine, I had some noticeable big toe pain and black toes from stubbing them I think. I am hoping that they do break in a lot as they'd feel perfect otherwise. Also there is pretty much no padding in the toe box which is rock solid so that can be a bit painful too. Thanks!
@Martz604
@Martz604 Год назад
I wanted to add that they don't feel like they are crushing my feet. They are definitely comfortable and are breaking in well. It's the brutal toe box when new that was giving me pain.
@kuemagecollector
@kuemagecollector Год назад
@@Martz604 I tried a plastic seba 42 but felt a little hot on the foot. I guess I'm still a beginner and still don't know how it feels like to break in a snug fitting boot. I have the FR UFR size 43, after skating for a month or 2. Now it feels a bit big. Hopefully this will be fix with the seba wizard boot size 42. My mondo size is 270mm. tnx for the insight.
@Martz604
@Martz604 Год назад
@@kuemagecollector Yeah I had a similar experience with a FR1 in the 43/44 shell, the liner is comfortable at first but very noticeably becomes quite loose. That is probably fine if you just want a comfortable ride but I am usually going for a precise performance fit. I think you should be almost perfect with the 42 Wizards. If I am able to get into a 42 with my foot size then you should be pretty comfortable.
@kuemagecollector
@kuemagecollector Год назад
@@Martz604 was it a bit painful in the beginning when breaking in the boot? Taking out the intuition liner and putting my foot inside the boot have enough space like a couple cm. I definitely feel like my toes touch the tip of the boot when having the intuition liner.
@Martz604
@Martz604 Год назад
@@kuemagecollector Yeah it was definitely tight with a tiny bit of pain but no real obvious toe stub thankfully at first but they have broken in very well and are super comfortable now. I still do experience a little numbness after an hour or two of skating but that's pretty normal for a nice performance fit. That was similar to my experience with just the linerless boot. The super thin Wizard Intuition really is the ticket to the EU 42 downsize for me. Hope this helps.

Same here, i used some superglue on it and reinforced that part with a strong black duct tape. Cant tell long term results, but first session after repairs went well and they stayed intact. Bad thing is that this supposedly increases the forward flex of the boot. Well, bad for wizard skating at least.
