Today we are taking a look at the return of an emblematic vintage dive watch, the Doxa SUB 600T, which returns with a brand new collection of rugged, powerful models. Mostly known for the iconic SUB 300 collection, Doxa today brings back one of its models from the 1980s, the SUB 600T, with a beefier, blocky, angular case and its crown offset at 4 o’clock. Following the limited Pacific edition presented earlier in 2021, the brand now launches an entire collection with 24 references of this Doxa SUB 600T available. And we have it for a review!

The only watch that doesn’t lose any value whatsoever. I actually sold my 5000t 6-7 years after I purchased it and made almost a grand over what I paid. 600t looks like an absolute winner to me

Stunner! You may have me sold on the 600T Caribbean with ceramic bezel and rubber strap. My wrist is about 6.5” (16.5cm). I’ve worn watches that were 14.1mm and 13.3mm case thickness (Hublot and Panerai, both on rubber straps), so 14.5mm should be doable. Lug to lug 47.9mm the DOXA seems quite compact. It’s just the top heaviness that I may have to get over.

The best option to have it somewhat balanced on the wrist is to wear it on the bracelet. Nevertheless, it's a great watch!

Really like this , when I saw the Pacific I had a feeling they would introduce non limited models. Kinda hoping they release more colourways in the Titanium as this looks like quite a hefty piece.

I own one of these and like it but I have to say that Doxa are not a good deal at all. I would put my Squale, CERTINA and Christopher Ward ahead of them every time. take the history away and what are you left with?

@@contaygious Yeah not their standard rubber strap either. I wouldn't buy the standard rubbers as they cost like £400 and then you cut off and throw £150 worth in the bin.

Interestingly ,there is so much difference from Asian marketed Doxa.Western Doxa design is simple ,while the Asia designed more complicated shiny looking with more variety.

Their Asia/E. Europe line isn't related to their main Doxa diving line at all. One is a line of generic looking unremarkable watches slapped with a historic brand name, the other are all based of iconic Doxa designs or derivatives of said designs. Post 2000 Doxa doesn't have anything in common with 1960 Doxa, just a rich family that bought the name.

Sadly I have to agree with you. I've recently got the Sub 300T Professional, and the lume is terrible. After a couple of hours in a well lit room, going into total darkness, there is almost no glow at all. Only after holding it under a lamp directly for a while is it possible to get a glow for a couple of minutes! I've got a £30 'dive watch' that is FAR better in that respect. Other than the appalling lume, I can't fault it at all. Very happy with my purchase.. Seriously considering the Sub 600T Aquamarine with ceramic bezel now.

the caseback is thicker than the bezel / crystal. This watch will be awkward on the wrist. But Doxa have always been poor quality so nothing new there.

You sound like an absolute troll but I’ll indulge you. They build raised case backs, especially on big watches, to put distance between the wrists and the watch lugs making it more comfortable to wear. Also the DOXA fish logo is engraved in 3D. By raising the case back, it gives more depth visually. But hey, keep spouting nonsense. Perhaps one day you can afford something other than a swatch.
