After my kenwood 450 s died , I watched your great videos abt the 991a and pulled the trigger and ordered 991a new years eve 2021...I congratulate you on your content esp this video...your demonstration of its noise reduction capabilities sold me
Hi Phillip - I'm so glad the video help, email me at shope02@yahoo.com and I'll send you my PDF document I've used on my videos '73 de KI5JUF can't wait to hear you on the air !!
I have owned 2 Yaesu 991A's, the Icom IC-7300 and now have the Yaesu FT-710. The 710 is by far the quietest radio of the bunch. However, having said that I would be happy with any one of the three. They all have their ups and downs. I have always said that Icom is better on the software side of radio and Yaesu is better on the hardware side of radio. Good luck!
You do know that if you transmit on 11 meters it will nullify the warranty, as stated by the woman at GigaParts. She said if you want the MARS mod for 11 meters, then just get a CB radio. My 991a will be here on Thursday according to the tracking # from FedEx. Already got my power supply, a MFJ 4035MV, a 30 amp continuous supply. Already tested the power supply on my Kenwood 281a 2 meter rig. I'm watching all the videos I can waiting on my radio to arrive. W Rusty Lane K9POW in eastern Tennessee

No problem - I can show how to program through the menu or using the RT systems software - the radio is great you will love it - I'll try to do a video tommorrow - si amigo Steve!!
This is a Ham radio. Shouldn't you be on the Ham Bands and not CB? Well on second thought, you were trying to reduce noise and what better place than CB to accomplish this.
Hey everyone, how's it going yeah listen only I never got the MARs mode, moving forward with 10 and 6,m especially with a nice radio like the 991A, thanks appreciate all of you '73
@@westtexasvideogateski5juf255 The MARS Mod may be needed since I don’t see the 60 meter band listed on the menu when it’s up? It’s a Cool band for some great DX.
