Triumph's new-for-2024 Speed 400 is a hugely important motorcycle for the British manufacturer.
Designed to introduce new riders to the brand, both to younger riders in Europe and to customers in new markets like Brazil and India, it has the ability to massively increase the company's sales.
Powered by an all-new, 40bhp, engine shared with the Scrambler 400 X, we had the opportunity to ride and review the Speed 400 in Spain.

I've got one on order. This checks all my boxes for a nice lightweight "Sunday Cruiser". Great looks, agile handling, good ride quality, No need for anything faster....this will do just fine.

My 400 Speed has just had it's first service, 600 miles. It's brilliant and a very happy bike. In that I mean it's fun with a torquey engine, makes a lovely sound on the overun. Two issues on the mudguards. Front too short, so ordered a fender extender. Rear, in the rain and mud gets thrown over your back and helmet.... so I added an A4 sized ABS sheet under the back of the rear mudguard. Heated grips not yet available. And the rack is ordered. No idea why the extras are slow to arrive. The Speed is one of four Triumphs in my garage.

Really keen on the Speed, but prefer the paint job on the scrambler. Will leave it a couple of months to see if there are any issues with the builds but likely to be in my garage soon.

thanks for info about the tires. what about long term reliability? can it compare to a kawasaki?

Hello! But do you feel any issues yet. Though the product is great. Here in India many owners are having issues like Stalling, RPM Fluctuations on idle, Alloy bend, Engine noise. And Brand here are not acknowledging it fully. We would like to here if any issues there. I know its too soon for you to feel as pretty new rides.

Hi, it is indeed, Bajaj motorcycle make it for Triumph, the engine/chassis isn't used for any other bike, I think it's a good looking bike & that price point, it should sell well.@@Steve-motorcycles

The bike hits its 9200 rpm revlimiter at which point it would be doing 105 miles per hour in the Speedo!.. I own a Speed 400 here in India.. 👍

The bikes come with Liquid Cooling, not air.

I think you mean they can make 20,000 TR400's a month not 5000 a month as your math is wonky--i read they are making 20,000 of these TR400's a month at least--great review otherwise sir

That's right. Triumph says current capacity is 5000 a month, with potential to build to 20,000 a month.
