Hello amazing SortedFood team. This is Patricia from WHERE THE PANCAKES ARE. We have had such amazing responses following your video release - requests for chilled box deliveries as far north as Glasgow and as far west as Wales. When I received a message from Kieran in New Zealand who asked for a box to be delivered to the woman he fell in love with over Christmas - she lives in Nottingham - I decided to do a 1000km round trip to get those boxes to at least some of your faithful followers! My fourteen year old daughter joined me, we were dressed for Summer but encountered Winter within miles from London; we returned home very happy. So here is to you, a big thanks for making the world a smaller and kinder place. A big virtual hug!
Be an Ebbers: - Put mint on to everything. - Be a super geek. - Be incredibly happy with black coffee and a doughnut. - Be a chef. - But have no supplies at home, like a pastry brush.
I’m sure Ebbers expressed mere tolerance of kitties on a visit to a cat cafe... ... or was that in a dream about you guys. Perhaps I’ll leave that thought there 🤣
Also as a single chef myself, he kinda got something that's the chef version of a kid in a candy store... so basically, that means it is time to play and experiment!!
Yup, my belly hurts now. I can relate... You spend so much time being serious with the camera and then suddenly no one is watching, the child comes out. Hahaha
On the one hand that might be true, but you are assembling and cooking everything yourself. And if you would get as good quality ingredients as they had i'm sure it would be like half the price. Like i get supporting the restaurants but at that point why not just order from them
@@erwinlehmann5801 If you cook it yourself you get a hot burger and not one that's been sitting in a delivery car for 30 minutes. Plus, these restaurants might not do take-aways so they might be just closed for right now if not for this delivery service. In non-lockdown times, sure - get stuff from the restaurant suppliers and it will be close, but you won't have their special blended patty sauce (I have no clue what that is) and the bakery may not sell direct. Even if you can get everything, you also have to spend 40 - 60 mins just caramelizing onions. You're paying for convenience here - and supporting a local business when everyone is struggling.
@@erwinlehmann5801 Considering everything you're getting to make 4 burgers, £25 actually does sound like a great deal 🤷♀️ One burger not even that high quality from the Red Robin near me is $15
After the start to finish sorted marathon I have been on this isolation, it's made me appreciate even more how much the whole team does and the qualityand effort that goes into your channel. Thank you so much 🥰💕
I just discovered you guys last week and I'm impressed by the quality and effort you put into your videos. I went on a video-marathon and I have to say, it's one of the best channels on RU-vid and you deserve more recognition!
I can't find a good definition of what "spaff" means. I mean, I can get a lot from context, but is this some group slang? I highly doubt they're using it in the urbandictionary.com meaning of it... :)
@@ShadGMoore Spaff is short for Spafford, Jamie's last name, but it is a double entendre as it also means... what urbandictionary says it means. They have made a similar innuendo in previous episodes :)
I get the feeling the women want to stay off camera, for the most part, but if they were willing I think a couples cook challenge would be diabetes-inducing. 😍
I appreciate that all of this has given more access and awareness to small farms and producers, which is where we all should be spending our money anyways. Buy local, buy fresh and eat the best things you can.
As soon as I saw Ben get the mint I immediately had Jamie break into song in my head singing “No Ben No. No more Mint, no more mint. No Ben no. No more mint, no more mint” 😂 Thanks for keeping up the great content guys 👍🏻
The Sorted channel did an amazing job during lockdown, because the lockdown periods were a difficult time for everyone and so still finding and executing video ideas to make the fanbase happy during a time of such depression is amazing, seriously underrated channel who care so much about all of us
I haven't been watching these for very long but I started binging this channel last week and I'm so emotionally invested in this group! I love the relationship you all share with each other and it personally saddened me to learn Ben has spent his time alone and I hope he's doing okay!
I love love love Jamie's blooper at the end! It was so cute and real! Seeing him struggle whilst recording at home. It just gives this whole lockdown episode a very natural feeling and I connect to that❤️
me: it’ll be really interesting to see their kitchens, the normals aren’t that normal anymore, i’m sure their kitchens are really well kitted out!! mike: i don’t have a bowl
you say that but i just watched their sourdough video and Ebbers does not have a rolling pin soo... either rarely makes something that needs one OR he always has a wine bottle to hand ^.^
Oh thank you, I thought it was just me! They kinda dropped something in one of the former videos but wasn't sure if they were serious or if I had heard correctly... good for him though!! :)
Finding your channel has possibly been the only good thing about being quarantined. After marathoning your past episodes, these twice a week new vids are very much appreciated.
This video inspired me. I did it a little differently. This Sunday is Mother’s Day in the USA. So, I ordered a small feast from my mom’s favorite restaurant to be delivered to her and my sister’s family. They are next door neighbors and my sister has been helping Mom stay home and safe by running errands, shopping, etc. Thanks, guys. Love how mindful you are.
I just wanna say thank you guy's. Out of all of my RU-vid subscriptions your channel seems to have adapted to the current circumstances the best. It just proves that it's never the setting it's the people. Keep it up guys
I LOVE that you did this! It's so important to support our local businesses during such a hard time and using your platform to do this is just the best thing you guys could possibly do!
Considering this is all being made in quarantine and I imagine is very complicated to shoot and stitch together. It's so so good! Well done, we appreciate the effort!
That's fantastic! I've always tried to buy local as much as possible, especially now because I do know how much this situation can hurt a small business. I lived here in the states and although our government has claimed plans to help out small businesses I can honestly say that it hasn't happened to my knowledge. I am a business owner myself (I own rental houses) and it's really difficult now because people have basically been informed that they don't have to pay their rent and landlords cannot file evictions, I have always been willing to work with people when they are struggling but I actually have quite a lot of tenants who are still working seemed simply not paying their rent. We have definitely lost a lot of ground financially and it's getting hard to provide for my family and maintain business finances so I feel the struggle for sure. Thanks so much for encouraging everyone to support local businesses, you guys are great!!💜
I really enjoyed this episode. Now I'm going to see if I can find similar products to send to my sons and their families, as this siege is getting .... long.
Love this channel, I live overseas and during these strange times, watching these guys, who are clearly having a lot of fun, is very nostalgic to time spent with mates back home. Thanks for all the hard work. Seeing these appear on RU-vid on a Sun eve and Mon eve always raises a smile.
I think it's really incredible, how the quality of your videos hasn't suffered at all due to the lockdown and you guys not being able to produce videos in your studio. You're doing a fantastic job and I love seeing how creative you have gotten and created new formats. Well done!
one of the things i love about this is the end- the food's great, but you're right! We should be supporting our local small businesses right now. We've been getting our cold cuts and sausages and the like from the butcher on our corner.
