Reviewing EVERY Hotel in Disney World -- Pop Century Resort 

I stayed here on a solo trip in Nov. 2021 and loved it. I would go back for sure, and I cannot say I felt that way about any other value resort. Having the skyliner right there made getting to Epcot so easy and peaceful. I stayed in a preferred room (Jungle Book) and had a very quick walk to the main building, buses, pool and skyliner. I highly recommend getting a preferred room.

Stayed here a few weeks ago - this is how you renovate a hotel room! Super impressive remodel; clean, modern, and comfortable. Highly recommend if you need a night to stay. We got a super deal that rivals the holiday inn prices!

I love Pop Century! It’s perfect for me and my husband, because we’re in the parks from rope-drop to after close. All we need is a clean bed and bathroom and access to the Skyliner.

I believe pop century is the best value resort on Disney property. Mainly because the skyliner! I stayed in December and requested a room close to the skyliner and it was so easy to go to Epcot, Hollywood studios and even the boardwalk. I love how the skyliner for Epcot drops you off on the back entrance next to the France pavilion and the boardwalk. So you can explore the boardwalk resorts and nightlife and even the new riviera resort. Also you can skip the busy main entrance area of Epcot and walk right into France which has the best food in the park in my opinion and the new ratatouille ride!

Absolutely LOVE Pop Century. Relatively reasonable pricing to stay on property and access to the skyliner. It’s a win.

I stayed at Pop Century in January and it was so nice. Everything was laid out super well, the walking trails were clear and wide, the huge novelty sculptures were so fun, and the skyliner really can't be beat. I would say stay in the 90s if you want to be closer to parking and further from foot traffic - if you want near the skyliner ask to stay in the 60s.

We stayed there in May with my husband and daughter. I went in with low expectations, and oh my gosh I loved it so much! I have stayed at poly and Fort wilderness lodge (a little bougie back in the day) but pop is absolutely amazing and the skyline makes it so much more worth it to stay there. If you can stay in the 60s and 50s area then it's okay we stayed in the 90s section and it was so far away from everything. I would definitely stay there again.

We stayed at POP last year and are going back again in October - as adults only, we loved the retro vibes and the fun theming.

I did Pop for my first ever trip to Disney a couple of weeks ago and honestly LOVED it. The food was pretty good and not as expensive as other Disney options, the rooms were well thought out and clean, and we loved the bus and skyliner. Getting to the stop about an hour early got us there for early access every time. The shop also ended up having a couple things I’d run out of time to grab at animal kingdom and magic kingdom. I would definitely not do it with a whole family or adults other than my partner, but I would 100% stay again.

We LOVE pop century!! Stayed in May and got a perfect ground floor room right outside of the bowling pin pool & loved it! Going in about 3 weeks for a few nights this time requested the 60s section but still preferred :) the skyliner is a game changer for sure. We did not wait in a single transportation line for more than a minute or so. Much better than the packed busses especially at night! Gondolas stay surprisingly cool 😎

I’m staying at Pop Century for my upcoming trip in July! Really excited to get skyliner access plus I’m a sucker for the 60s and 70s.

My wife & I have stayed at Pop Century four times, 40th, 45th, 46th & 5th 0th anniversaries and stayed in preferred rooms outside the pool for all trips. There was no roudyness or noise outside the room at all. As you mentioned we spent our 8 - 11 day trips at the parks and when we returned after park close, we're able to take a dip in the pool or relax outside of it until it closed at 11pm. We quietly readied for bed and had no problem with noise outside our room inbldg. 4 or 5 poolside. the Skyliner was at most 250 steps from our room and Wes very enjoyable and smooth to ride. I think you gave the wrong impression to people in this regard. I really enjoy listening to your blog and have benefited from many of them but this time you were a little off. Even a couple of 70 year olds had such a great time at POP and slept like babies. Just returned in June celebrating 50th anniversary with Disney and returning in November for Christmas experiences but staying in Art & Animation side because Pop was all booked. Hope to see you sometime at the parks.

I love Pop! It was my first resort stay on Disney Property last summer, and definitely will stay here again. I loved the updated rooms and the beds were comfy. Room service came everyday to clean and they were awesome! I’m staying at All Star Movies this year but will definitely come back to this one!

I find the water view nice. It’s quiet and usually close to skyliner

I love Pop Century, I like the preferred room to be close to transportation. I’ve always had a great experience there. Love hoping on the skyliner to get my Joffreys coffee in the morning.

Love Pop Century!! We were there last year and will be back in September. Only two of us so room was perfect. Skyliner was excellent, so convenient and comfortable. We enjoyed stopping at the petals bar to relax after long day at parks.

We've stayed at Pop Century 2 times, last time was 2 weeks ago. We love it! Its even better now with the Skyliner.

After staying at only DVC resorts for the past 20 years, my boyfriend and I stayed here for 9 days in May and LOVED it! We got the 50s section which is the section we wanted and we had a room very close to the main lobby and a short walk to the skyliner! It was so easy to take the skyliner to other resorts for dining when we wanted a break from the food court which actually wasn’t awful. The rooms were smaller but it was just 2 of us so it was all the space we needed and you could tell the rooms still felt new from the refurb! Pop Century is an awesome option for saving money!

I miss being able to go to Disneyworld but now that I’m an adult and paying for things on my own, with the price of everything going up and bob chapek being in charge for now I’ll be doing universal. Watching these videos helps with nostalgia at the very least.

We’ve stayed multiple times at Port Orleans Riverside, French Quarters, Coronado Springs, Animal Kingdom Lodge and Fort Wilderness Cabins to name a few BUT we’ve stayed at The Pop Century (since it opened) over 20 times. It’s the BEST Value Resort in Disney World especially since they renovated all the rooms. Plus the Cast Members tend to be very likable and of course The Skyliner makes getting to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios a breeze;) Great Video AJ, as always!!!

Seriously. I wish I could hug you. Your videos have been such a HUGE help in planning my upcoming June trip. We are staying here at Pop Century due to the Skyliner. I also stayed there when I worked for Disney (CA) and visited. That was ummm 19 years ago, but now with kiddos I know they will just love it as did I. My days off now have been used for research and all things you post!!!! THANK YOU!

I actually just decided to stay at Pop for my first Disney trip. We decided, at the advice of our Small World Vacations agent. It’s just me and my wife, but we decided to save the extra money to spend in the parks.

We have stayed four times since 2020. We love that resort. Pop century

I actually loved my stay at Pop Century. I heard a rumor though that Pop and AoA are getting ready to be “upgraded” to moderate and all the All Stars will be the only “value” resorts. That being said it has a very nice food court and Skyliner access makes a huge difference

I was just there with my family of 7 the first week of June and we LOVED it! We stayed in the 50's building and it was close enough to the sky cars that the walk back to our room at night wasn't bad. I would defiantly recommend this resort to anyone. The only down side for us was the space between the end of the bed and the dresser could have been a little wider because we kept hitting our legs on the end of the bed.

I have stayed here with family and have a solo trip booked here in January! I love the hotel for a couple of reasons. 1. The over the top decor is happy and fun and unabashedly shouts YOU’RE AT DISNEY WORLD and I love that. 2. The skyliner is an amazing transportation advantage that frankly makes me reluctant to choose any hotel not on its route. 3. I’m at Disney World for the parks primarily and as such I can’t justify the insane costs of the non-value resorts on property. Food, tickets, and souvenirs are expensive enough. Even the moderate hotels in non-busy seasons are more per night than ANY other hotel I’ve ever stayed in, and yet WAY less fancy than what I would expect at that price outside of Disney.

I'm sure it's been pointed out in the comments, but those "mini fridges" are actually beverage coolers and NOT intended to get cold enough to safely store food. We were there three weeks ago and ours never got below 45 degrees (we had a fridge thermometer with us). We ended up using our coolers the entire time because I wasn't willing to risk ruining our vacation with food poisoning. If you're not traveling with food or needing to store leftovers, the beverage coolers are perfect at keeping your drinks icy cold.

My family and I stayed at Pop back in February of 2020 and absolutely loved it. We were able to get connecting rooms in the 60’s section so we were pretty close to the skyliner. My mother who is afraid of heights was able to go on the skyliner with no problems and even said it was one of her favorite rides at Disney! Already booked an adults only trip this next time for late April of 2023. Can’t wait!!

Brought daughter and granddaughter down here to Florida. Stayed at POP'S had a nice time there. Saved $$$

I got a preferred pool view room and requested a box fan from the front desk and that took care of all noise. Turned that baby on high and slept like a dream. Honestly I think it's peak transportation location out of all the hotels with the ease of the skyliner and buses being within a 2 minute walk of my room.

I love POP. I stayed there for my first visit. I was very happy with the remodeled rooms. Plenty of space for just me. I can’t wait to go in the spring and try the Skyliner.

I stayed at POP with my mom and Hubby in 2009. It was the year my hubby PROPOSED so it was Special. Kinda TIGHT with a Scooter but we made it work. I think my Son would enjoy it.

Pop Century is our home away from home!! 😍😎 We stayed in 2018 & 2021, and are planning a family trip for December 2023. We always do 2 adjoining rooms, and leave the door between them open. When we do Disney, it's myself & my Husbeast, our 3 kids (ages 21, 19, & 11), and my mom. Next year my aunt will be joining us, and we're over the moon excited about it. 💗 To us, the vibe at Pop is the perfect blend of relaxing and exciting! The castmembers are so kind, and really make us guests feel welcome. When we went last year, it was to celebrate 5 years of sobriety for me. The staff at Pop would always have sweet and caring words for me when they saw my pin. We love Pop, and honestly, it's well worth experiencing even just once.

I consider Pop my “home resort” 🤪

I love the 1920s, so I totally would stay in the Disney Prohibition Hotel!

I've stayed at Pop Century twice (solo and with a friend) and I loved it. More affordable than Art of Animation with the same access to the Skyliner.

I am bummed that the tie dyed cheesecake went into a cup. It was so much better looking as a slice. Like normal cheesecake.

We’ve stayed at pop century several times with and without our kids, and we have loved it every time. It has a great food court and the rooms are nice.I would not be surprised if it was turned into a moderate price eventually. One time we stayed on the first ground floor, the room was noisy, so we switched to an upper floor that ended up being remodeled. The second room was perfect and quiet. We usually stay now at wilderness lodge, but pop is a good alternative for a less expensive trip.

This is our go to and it’s amazing especially with the addition of the sky liners, on the day we go to Animal Kingdom we normally come back earlier and take that to explore other resorts

Honestly, there isn't much difference between the value and moderate resort prices. We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside 2 weeks ago for 250 per night. An extra 30-70 bucks a night can get you into a moderate as long as you aren't picky about which one it is.

I stayed at Pop Century for my very FIRST WDW trip a couple years ago, and it was the coolest place! Originally, I was booked for All-Star Movies, but with the three all-star resorts closed due to human malware, I called Disney Customer Service and transferred my resort reservation to the Pop, and I had a blast! I LOVED riding the Skyliner, and also tried waiting for the Zootopia car whenever I could. The resort's well themed, designed, and in my opinion, is overall a good resort for Disneyworld first-timers!

We will be staying here for my birthday trip next year!! So excited and can’t wait. First Disney resort stay.

We stayed here for my senior class trip and I loved it! The room was so comfortable and I felt Disney vibes as soon as I got there!

Went there for the first time last year, since it was a solo trip. Epcot and Hollywood Studios are my favorite Disney parks, so it was perfect! Honestly my only complaint- and this might be weird- is the pillows. My head has very specific needs with pillows or I literally can’t sleep. The pillows here were AWFUL for me. So awful that I ended up taking two folded towels from the bathroom, stacking them on top of each other, and then sliding them inside a pillowcase, which did the job great but y’know, not ideal lol. I’ll be sure to pack my own pillow on my upcoming trip.

Have stayed there twice & have absolutely zero complaints! Such a pleasure to stay there & never a long bus line!

About to do a besties trip with my friend for our 30’s. And never actually stayed here. I hope we get 90s but thank you for letting us know it’s a bit noisy in places & what’s closer to exits.

By far, the best Value Resort in all of Disney. My family and I have been staying here for over a decade! Fits in perfect with the thyme. Even though its on the smaller side of the Disney Resorts, it still brings everything in my book. The comfort and familiarity you feel walking into this Resort is impeccable. Pop Century will always have a place in my heart no matter what.

My husband and I stayed in a Preferred King room here for our honeymoon in June and we loved it! I’ve stayed here a few times before but he had not. It was perfect for us. We went in the multiple pools almost every day, enjoyed the food court for breakfast and late night eats and the fact that the Skyliner is there now makes this a no-brainer choice for us in the future!

Pop Century was our Disney home before joining Disney Vacation Club.

Just came back from a solo trip and Pop Century met all my needs! The theming was super charming, I loved the convenience of the Skyliner, and yes, the money saved by staying at a value resort gave me more wiggle room to splurge on food/souvenirs! My only real complaints are the lunch/dinner options are...not that good and it seemed like Pop Century got the short end of the stick when it comes to buses. I remember waiting to rope drop Magic Kingdom and multiple buses came by for Animal Kingdom before one came by for MK. I'm seriously considering for next time ordering an Uber to 100% guarantee I can milk the 30 minute early entry

I have always hated the Value Resorts bc the busses were the worst. Tired and just want to get to back to your room at night? How does a 1-2hr bus line sound? 😀 But we stayed at Pop when the skyliner opened up for the Food and Wine festival. It was an absolute game changer. We very rarely had to wait in lines for transportation. The rooms were clean, the staff was so friendly... I actually prefer it to all Moderates and even a couple deluxe hotels now 😅

The first couple of times we stayed at Pop was about 20-22years ago! I can’t believe it’s been that long!! It had the coolest music ever and it was loud!!! We could hear it late at night inside our rooms. Now when we stay there the music is barely audible, if they play it at all.

Pop Century was great in 2019. Skyliner had just reopened (After the first crash) so people were afraid to use it, so no wait!!! Also , you can walk to art of animation. We had a room in the 60s (Baloo's building), not on the pool side, the other side. It was super quiet and relaxing!!! I'm sad that I can't go back because we are a family of five. Last time, my parents had a connecting room with us, so 1 of the kids would sleep in there room. It was perfect! We also look at Epcot firework from the skyliner bridge. Kiddos were super happy and we could put them to bed 2 minutes after the show!

Great WDW Hotel to save money on. This video is very spot on on reviewing the POP Century Resort. Has great connectivity through the Skyliner after all the changes in the area.

We stayed at Pop Century in February of 2021 and loved it. The only complaint we had was the hours at the restaurant. With the long lines for the free transportation, it was pretty much impossible to get breakfast AND make it to the park in time for rope drop. And it was often closed by the time we got back in the evening.

Are the signs along the lake still there?! If so, Pop Century is worth it just to walk along the lake and read all the signs! Either Memory Lane or History Lesson, or both! It will feel crowded with TWO people. (Maybe even with ONE, if you're spoiled!)

I have a solo trip planned next year, and Pop Century is the resort I picked. It's ideal for what I want it for, and looks like such a good "value" resort. I'm scared of heights, but I'm hoping being solo and having no one to bounce my fear off of, I'll be able to use the skyliner no problem 😁

I love Pop Century! I go to this Resort every year it is my favorite my grown children love it as well. if I need any other amenities I will stay at a moderate or other hotels on property but this is my go-to.

My heart smiled when I got to play Donkey Kong on an old school arcade machine. My daughter still talks about sleeping next Mickey's butt (the giant phone was in front of our building.) The food here is not good, but everything else is great.

I stayed at Pop Century last week. Last week of June 2022. This was an amazing hotel. Nice decorations. Good pools. Nice bar by the main pool. Skylinersto Epcot and Hollywood Studios, shuttle does not go to other resorts. You don’t share shuttle with others. Food is okay. It’s affordable. I really loved this hotel and would stay again. My only concern was that one of the days of my stay I could hear all conversations from the other room at 1-2am. I did call the front desk and they dealt with it. Do your self a favor and stay at Pop Century

My husband and me and we stayed at this resort last year around the same exact time frame and then we moved over to wilderness Lodge and so I think that this hotel is really worth it because you got the skyliner and then you got the other couple of resorts that you can actually hop to and so we are actually staying there again this coming up December for Christmas because since we love the resort so much

My last stay here was before the Skyliner was built, but even then it was the sweet spot for value resorts *especially* if you only need a single bed. Art of Animation tucks its single bed rooms far from the lobby, which can be a pain when you're trying to wring every second from the day.

A couple months before the Skyliner opened, we stayed at Caribbean Beach(right before they update the rooms) for a week. Me and my wife were really enjoying our visit so we tacked on an extra day to the end, but they had no rooms at the Carribean. We got one night at Pop Century and wished we had stayed there the whole visit. This was right after Pop Century rooms got a refresh and looked like in this video. Other than the better food at the Carribean Beach lobby, we really loved Pop Century and thought it was so nice especially for the cheaper rate. Only thing we noticed was there was definitely more families at Pop Century which made it a bit louder and busier where Carribean beach felt quiet and hidden away. I always love the check in area/lobby looking at all of the old collectibles on the back wall. We will definitely be staying at Pop Century next time and can't wait to get to use the Skyliner!

I LOVE Pop Century!!!! Wish it wasn't FULL in December.

I am doing a split trip between pop and beach club. Pop looks great and glad that I book a preferred room. It’s got the sky liner and the facilities look fine.

I only stayed at here twice, first time was before it opened and second time in 2014. When you stay in a brand new resort it is wonderful everything is perfect because nobody has stayed there yet. In 2014 it was horrible, but then it was before the remodel, which it very much needed. After seeing this I would be willing to give it another go.

I stayed here with my husband in February 2022. The skyliner was a big draw for me. What I wasn’t expecting was how long the skyliner lines are in the morning to board. The line to board wrapped around the entire resort. We ended up using UBER for those days instead. We were in building 9 and actually found that we were incredibly close to the bus pick up location (we could see it from our window). That made our mornings way less stressful!

I went here with my high School dance team years go. So much fun, I remember lots of kids and families there. Would not recommend to honeymooners or elderly trying to relax lol
