Okay hot take maybe but here’s what I think about literally any trend: even if I think it’s absolutely hideous, if the person wearing it loves it and feels super confident, it automatically looks good
@@Chloe-ul3vd exactly. i feel like she brought back the whole mom/straight jean, and scrunchie trends back to life! i’m so thankful for that because she totally inspired me and now i feel so confident in what i wear;)
imnotaimee when I was growing up (like high school days) that’s basically all we had and they were in style but back then we didn’t have high wasted jeans and if you did find some they were like granny pants and EVERYONE would’ve laughed at you but now they have cute high waisted jeans/pants etc It’s so crazy how trends come and go...wait till your older and all the clothes you wear now will be out of style...it’s crazy 😜 but I hate low rise pants now too
The fact that Emma is able to articulately and specifically explain why she likes or does not like something is exactly why she is the fashion icon she is. It’s like a sommelier discussing wines.
I totally agree with the cow-print one it’s like what happened with the tennis skirts and sweater combo it’s so popular that it doesn’t feel unique and loses it’s speciality
@@9_ansha the clothing. the baggy trousers. and sweater vests. the way brits dressed at the time is now coming back in fashion as dark academia or indie pinterest clothing
99% of our clothing trends stem back way further than we realise, the only thing we do is down-dress them. it's weird how people assume these things just come from nowhere.
Me: LA looks so fun Emma on her podcast: “I hate LA, it’s like Gucci belt to the grocery store vibes” Me: huh? 16:53: guy walks by walking his dog in a whole suit Me: oh.
I totally agree, but from what ive learned in my fashion industry program these trends have come and gone for ages. & someone has to make the product for the public to be able to buy it. So haute couture designers and commercial brands use trend forecasters and teams of creatives to produce and advertise these trends. Emma does have a large platform in the fashion industry, but everyone saying she single-handedly reintroduced trends from 60 years ago is just wrong lol
@@4r1_ i dont think so :/,,,but i don´t know , i don´t follow her that much to kwon which trends where there before or after she started , but im 100 percent sure thet she didn´t create them. no ofense
Also Enya Umanzor, hella people have made fun of her for her style then it becomes a trend and they do it 3 months later lmaoo. Emma and enya are the blueprint!
@@Kultkhani enya? You kidding me? She dresses like I did when I was 9 🤣 No tea no shade no lemonade I fucking love her but her dress sense is WHACK and she knows it
She’s right about fashion being about what you feel comfortable and cute in. I love low rise jeans they’re the only jeans I feel confident in because my torso is short and it makes it look longer :)
i’ve been through both of these phases and in my opinion they’re different. i’m not saying that it’s egirl/boy style is completely original but it’s less side swept bangs and the killers and more punk and rap i guess. it’s kinda about uncommon colors and all that. i see the similarities but there is a bit of a difference. just my opinion tho 🙃
u r b cause she is such a tiny size so must you! I hope alot of girls here understand that Emma is a kid of surfer-grunge background and is a tiny frame - her body type is rare n her whole life has been plant based so do not compare your own bodies or own style ! ~That is why Emma is popular -she has always done her own agenda !
"Baguette Bags" were THE coolest thing you could own back when I was a senior in HS and then the next 2-3 years of college. So like 1999-2002. I had a Coach one, because Coach was very exclusive and high end back then (it's still high end, it just wasn't as main stream as it became). Then of course the LV and Fendi ones, everyone had to have those. Funny thing is that now with the size of cell phones, it would be tough to fit much else besides your giant cell phone in it lol. Anyway, they're cute though, for going out at night or to dinner. Not big enough to be an every day bag though, in my opinion.
Also, my mom had a pair of cow print leggings back in the 80s when I was a kid and I thought they were the COOLEST and most trendiest leggings ever. I kind of wish my mom saved them, hahah. I find it fascinating how every trend of style/fashion comes back around many years later. I guess it's been happening since the beginning of time, but when you have lived through the first era of it being cool, and then see it come back 20 years later, I think it's really fun and nostalgic :) Also, I'm realizing that I'm old.
Yes, with you. I’m trying to figure out how to re-enjoy the trends I wore in HS in 1999 because I feel like we all just finally moved past this. And now I know how my mom feels about 70s fashion.
The fact that she says she respects all fashion anyways, even if its not her forte, as long as we're happy with out fashion choices 🥺💕 She gives me the self confidence my mother is in the process of taking from me
This just goes to show that Emma is amazing I feel horrible right now I have a headache and I want to throw up and just by watching her video I am feeling better already I don’t know how that works but, love you Emma ❤️
i love emma because even if she doesn’t like something, she’s not gonna say people shouldn’t wear it bc it’s ugly. honestly i think people should be able to wear whatever they want and whatever makes them feel confident without being judged.
