Can-Am is goin to sell a ton of these. Especially for work. 1800 lbs towing? No one else comes close. I was looking at an overpiced Kodiak 700. Glad I waited. Will be buying an outlander pro - and will have better specs at 3k less.

I just put 6 hours of non stop work , hauling trees and trailers on my HD7 today. Then ran it through 3’ mud/ water holes. It out worked and outperformed my grizzly and stayed cooler all day. This machine is a huge upgrade compared to the older canned hams

Going to buy one this year. Can Am is looking like it made a machine with a little Grizzly, Polaris, and Suzuki all in one machine. Personally love the single cylinder thumper, Owned a Grizzly and King Quad. Been looking at buying a Kodiak, glad i didn't

One engine across the entire lineup means they’re aiming for max quality, lower parts replacement cost. The first couple years will iron out the kinks, but I think this is a big move in the right direction for can am.

There’s guys that buy a 1000 to run tight trails that turn up their nose to these new Pro models, but really that lighter Pro with torquey low end will be a great work and trail quad. And clearly it’s a segment worth entering as shown by Honda And with single vs V Twin more isn’t always better. The twin is heavier, physically larger, and run HOT. Looking at the specs and price the new 500 replaces the 450 and new 700 replaces the 570. The twin is still around I no the model range, too All the Japanese brands run single cylinder and all are more reliable. Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki. The Yamaha Grizzly 700 is the best midbore bike
@edwardcote1331
@edwardcote1331 Год назад
and those japanese 700 atvs are single cylinders and roughly 5-7 thousand dollars canadian more than my 500.that's a lot of $$ for a couple more hp.and we all know reliability is only relative to how you treat the machine and how you do your maintenance.if you thrash hard and constantly mud/swamp,you will break stuff no matter what you ride.
@andrewsbbq
@andrewsbbq Год назад
@@edwardcote1331 lol $5000-7000 more? Since when!? Grizzly 700 and Outlander 700 are price competitive. Only price outlier is the Honda which is going to last 30 years unquestioned Your 500 is now the small bore class and is priced like the other small bore bikes. Lol $7000 more??? Did you do any research and price checking? I agree the new Outlander 500 is stacking up to be good bike. But your price claim is nuts. And saying that about reliability is 50% ignorance. Anything needs routine maintenance, but machine reliability extends beyond that. Would a meticulously maintained $2000 Chinese brand (not CF Moto, but a true Chinese brand) last as long as a Honda or Suzuki? Lol fuck no. These quads are built for work and for trails, so they should be able to handle it.

@@andrewsbbq i said it was 5/7 k more than my 500 which, by the way,shares EVERYTHING but the cam with the 700.what part of that is confusing you? i never said anything about the outlander 700.if you cant follow the conversation,sit the fuck down. that's crazy for a couple more hp, like 5-700 dollars per single hp more than mine.i'll gladly sink that into accessories and still have thousands left over.and if you don't think maintenance is in direct correlation to reliability,you are on crack.nobody in their right mind buys a $2000 chinese knockoff quad for reliability and you know it.i don't think you even own an orv.or maybe you're a butthurt Yamaha fanboy who paid way too much for your machine for what you actually got.
@andrewsbbq
@andrewsbbq Год назад
@@edwardcote1331 there is a big performance gap between your 500 and a Grizz 700 or Outlander 700. You fully missed my point about maintenance and reliability. Your 500 has zero to do with my original comment. Thanks for your irrelevant side anecdote though. Yamaha and Suzuki both have smaller bore bikes than 700/750, genius. Follow the opening comment, genius. And WTF is an ORV? Idiot

Yeah to me this is an improvement to their bottom end models. The looks are subjective, I like some things and dislike others. But I bet next year they tune up the new chassis and release it in their big bore atvs (850 + 1000cc outlanders) with a revamp for them!
@papercuts1122

PS this thing can wheelie with ease so there’s tons of low end torque and more power than I’ll ever need

I've always preferred single cylinder engines to twins. Yes the twins sound better and perform better but they are heavier and more maintenance intensive. Friends of mine have 2 570 outlanders and have had issues with overheating.

the vast majority of people hating on these machines are the same people that would never buy one in the first place.these are clearly aimed at budget and novice riders.anyone with a big bore mud machine wouldn't give these a second look.i just bought the 500 dsp to augment my side by side and to rip narrow trails and maybe some snow plowing when my sxs is being cranky.do i care about it being a single? hell no.do i care about the looks?hell no,it looks like any other atv, in my eyes.do i care about the lack of accessories,hell no,i have every add on i need,/tires/rims/winch sitting in my shop except a couple bumpers.do i care about the hp? hell no,i can re clutch,tune and throw on a better exhaust if i find the power lacking later on down the trail.besides the cforce,it was the best value for the money in the market right now.

Honestly. I think it’s a step sideways rather than forwards or backwards. It’s odd to me. If they make different packages that are specified towards things like agriculture or hauling, it could work for them. Imagine, next year, they make a package that includes a PTO with the ability to connect to equipment for lawn mowers, wood chippers, etc. without a separate engine. They can also make a model that incorporates the frame and such of the UTV’s but with an atv body, for 2,000-3,000 lbs towing capacity.
@todsimpkins8908
@todsimpkins8908 Год назад
The Pro series is geared towards ag. 1800lbs towing. Different suspension for heavier loads. Geared for low end torque. Only thing missing is PTO.

I see and just learning about the grizzly I just never known about single piston.
@bvick1708
@bvick1708 Год назад
There are advantages to both. The single is easier maintenance and easier on fuel. The twin is much smoother and capable of making better power. I have had every grizzly since it’s introduction 600/660/700. All three were great! I have also had 2 can ams. A 650 and 570. The 570 will play with the 700-750 machines. The 650 would blow them away. I just think can am will have a hard time selling a 50hp 700 to their loyal customers vs a 48hp 570 and 62hp 650 they just discontinued.
