I've been meaning to read Crash! Love that the review was a "what the hell did I just read", because the Cronenberg movie adaptation was totally a "what the hell did I just watch" type movie 😂

Hi Meg, good to see you again with another great video. I didn’t know you suffered from depression; I have Major Depressive Disorder myself. My psychiatrist told me that depression affects cognitive function, which decreases attention span and reading ability. I find this to be true. Maybe that’s what is happening with you. I was diagnosed with that. She's reading 9 books a month it doesn't surprise me she is having trouble concentrating. A lot of these booktubers speed read, and idk how good it is for the concentration...if that makes sense. [Especially if the genre is Horror and contains suicide]

A Chuck Tingle book without dinosaurs. An apostasy! "Crash" is... a thing. Lots of overpasses and merging lanes. Happens around an airport, because those have the most overpasses and merging lanes. Ballard is really into cars and JFK - hence the Lincoln. A rather normal entry into the Ero-Guro genre. Movie exists. It's a thing. Possibly easier to take than the book. Recommend "The Atrocity Exhibition" instead. Brave new world... I liked it. The TV series inspired by it is a hit and miss. You may have seen it, it's called "Sex in the City."

I just gotta say, I loved Monstrilio. I did listen to the audiobook so maybe that helped with the slowness you spoke of but I was so pleasantly surprised because I didn’t expect to like it as much as I did. I thought it was so good as deep honestly. It’s all taste though, because you rave about Animal and that one didn’t stick with me in any way. Thanks for the content as always

I know I’m real late to the game on this one, but I just read The Ruins by Scott Smith in September. I liked it more than I thought I would, and now I want to watch the movie, even though I’m sure it won’t be as good in comparison lol.

Im subscribed to another youtuber who says that American Psycho is 1 of her favorites. She never described it as "funny" though lol. Now I'm more intrigued i guess??? But not really lol do you think hes very similar to the movie character or more fascinating?

There was nothing funny in _American Psycho._ How can you, as a woman, enjoy the battery/jumper cable scene and the rat pipe scene? Did you enjoy visualizing these scenes in your mind? Would you have enjoyed watching it on screen had they included it in the Christian Bale movie?

Patrick Batemans ego is laughable. The way he goes on and on about what he wears and how fit he is, etc is laughable. I wasn't able to finish the book because I couldn't get past the detailed descriptions of things he does every day and his thought process.
