10/10 opening, also if anyones struggling with getting kills stock you can murder light pilboxes and tanks easily with the Vulcan even with air target belts
Playing Sim with VR is the best thing in this game, too bad I broke my USB port so I cant run joystick plus VR until I get a hub. Anyhow its sad that the WT community doesn’t know how fun sim can be.
That intro was amazing. Btw have you ever played Hotdogs, Horseshoes and Handgrenades? I just recently got into H3VR and i'm absolutely loving it. Defintely one of the best VR games on the market.
Your hud shows your radar IFF. So icons for aircraft will tell you what is a confirmed friendly. Usually a friendly aircraft is a triangle and a hostile is a triangle in a box or with two lines either side of it
Great video, from a new subscriber! I really enjoy playing in the F-104, and found this video helpful! I am jealous of your VR though, as I play sim on the PS4, so I have to use a Rii mini I7 velcroed to my headset, and use a button on my controller to activate mouse look, in order to look around. It's the best I can hope for on a PS4 unfortunately. If you get the F-5E, I would love to see a video on that sometime 👍
Question mr Tearex. im considering getting vr for war thunder sim. My concern is visibility and quality. Would you say the oculus rift is a good buy? Furthermore, how its its positioning? Does it track your heads position well?. Thanks.
If you want clarity I believe the rift S offers the best resolution currently for oculus products. I recommend doing a lot of market research as there are good alternatives with HTC, HP etc and everyone has their own preference.
@@TeaRexChannel Thank you so much for the reply. I figured as much from your videos. I was looking through the $300 to $500 options and it seem like the rift S had the best feature set to price. Thank you for your input.
I know that this is three years old so it might not be possible anymore, but how did he lock the gunsight forwards? For me it has this internal delay that makes lining up shots incredibly frustrating
Do you still play arcade or are you solely a VR user? I'm thinking of getting back into WT after 4 years hiatus, now that I have vr i'm curious if that would make the grind more worth it lol
Definitely. Apparently it is possible to fly using the in-built virtual joystick (mouse-joy) and some have mastered it. However you will save yourself quite a bit of struggle by purchasing a decent joy. Especially if you are just starting with in-cockpit flying - there is enough struggle with fighting the opponents. Adding another struggle with just controlling your plane is....lets say experience not meant for faint-hearted. As a starter, I would really recommend TM16000. Not that expensive, while leaps and bounds ahead of old potentiometer based sticks. At least that was my experience, your mileage may vary of course. Basically any joy should be better than virtual one, be it in-built one or external.
Currently, I'm not going to spend my money, but I might consider it. I've just started in sim, and mousejoy is serving well enough as a bomber pilot. However, if I'm going to fly fighters, I need a stick, since dogfighting is hard enough.
Definitely, I just bought the Hotas 4 it’s great, set it up on war thunder, il2 bos, il2 1946 and it’s fucking awesome. With a ps4 controller I usually place in the top in sim battles but with this joystick there’s no looking back small adjustments are so much easier and you can make good use of your time on target. 100% recommend it
I rarely fly American planes, I really do not like them. In the nine years with WT American planes I never grew to like. Anyway, I am now researching the F-104 A. Turn? I took it out on a test flight and I could not get the plane to turn. I highly suggest avoid dog fighting at all costs.
