Please do something to improve the coaching influence over young players, minor leaguers in particular. If you are familiar with Football Manager, the coaching and training elements are really significant
I've been asking for this since I got in to the game. Unfortunately, OOTP is way behind FM in terms of what it's capable of, so I doubt we see this for a while.
Looking at the top prospect ratings, I’m wondering if they are re-inflating the ratings after 22. 22 definitely was ramped down a lot compared to 21 with what the starting ratings were at. They could be trying to combat international amateurs being the only good players by starting off the initial mlb guys higher
So they were trying to mirror how scouts actually rate players in real life. IRL scouts use the 20-80 ratings. There are rarely 70 ratings given by a scout to an amateur in real life. Top 5 picks often don't have any 70+ ratings on their scouting reports. So now that they have fixed this issue I don't see why they would revert.
@@ELDoro I think that the balancing from 22 would be perfect, if not for international amateurs being unstoppable. It is more realistic but it also is a video game so it’s gonna end up unrealistic at some point
Agreed. I was hoping that the player generator would be tweaked so power creep isn't as big, but this is a welcomed change. And you're right, it does seem like they tried something out, recognized it didn't work, and fixed it.
Could be the case. To my knowledge, this isn't a huge deal in online leagues right now, but that's certainly a better explanation than anything I have.
To explain MLB draft league, it's a 6 team league affiliated with the mlb that began play in 2021. They had some players be drafted (earliest overall being in the 4th round). Idk how it works exactly but I think they're just saying they're adding in the league since it is an officially mlb partnered league and is made up of 6 former milb teams
Great catch. I did actually see that, and I discussed it with Alex (along with all the other new stuff), it seems that's just a feature of a developer's copy of OOTP and will not actually be in the versions we'll have.
I certainly hope so, and I will most likely contribute to that. It's a real shame this trailer bombed so badly in a game where it needed to be really good. People in the company know it though and I'm sure they'll do better with 24 lol
For clarification, it's not that I'm upset with the game, but that I'm upset with the trailer. They just did a really bad job with it lol. And it's really frustrating because this could turn people off to what will be easily the most new player friendly OOTP game ever.
Honestly. Such a disappointment for a series that has historically had decent to good trailers. Like 22 had a way better trailer than this. Don't know what happened.
