Reviewing the Solo 421 Granular Spreader 

Great video! I've had one for 2 years, excellent machine! They work great for both regular and mini prill. They wont work with powdery ferts like Munns from the green shed. I like to connect the neck strap to the black base so the machine sits taller on your chest. I also run it without lid so you can see how much product is left (would advise wearing a mask just in case). They also benefit from a wipe down once in a while as left over fertiliser powder gets mushy if left in the machine via humidity. - an absolutely fantastic spreader 👍👍

The strap was changed to a cheap one with plastic clips and it cannot be shortened without cutting off the plastic padding area. I replaced the factory strap to have something more comfortable with 20 lbs of seed hanging off my neck.

Actually, that is NOT how it is used. The strap isn't to go around your neck. It is to be used over the shoulder, around the back and clipped to the spreader base.

You’re not supposed to hang it off the neck like that.
