I just put some katek super grass fert through it and got completely drenched in fine smelly soil. It says it's granular but obviously not enough lol. How are you meant to spread katek fert? Like a top dress?
Oh know. Personally I have never used Katek fert. So unfortunately I cannot help you on that one sorry. Where you spreading head on into a 50klm/hr wind? Haha. More organic based fertilisers tend to not have an coating to slow breakdown, so while they sit in the bag and get shifted around, the product inside breaks down and becomes a soil like structure. Sorry I couldn’t of been much help. I would say try a different fertiliser. If you are after something organic still and cheap, try eco88 or ck88. Or you can than step up to your more professional range from ICL, Lawn Pride, Lawn hun and plant dr etc. Best of luck 😀👍🏻
@@mowtime thanks mate! After using the spreader successfully with seed and acelepryn, I think I would still prefer liquid ferts. What are your thoughts on liquid? A lot of lawn lads love liquid over granular.
I'll be more interested in this seeder when they figure out how to replace the hand crank and make it with a cordless tool battery and motor to spread the seed and fertilizer.
