You rip away then replace . You break the arc then return the gun back to keep the weld protected with gas for a few seconds. Then turn the gas off

I've never seen a professional welder hit the rod that way to look for a bow.

To break off literally just snap it away as you were turning a doorknob , and scratch start is actually the most common form of tig vs footpedal. In the field you will never see a footpedal setup and if that’s what you learned on and are used to then you have handicapped yourself learn scratch start and you’ll be able to run any pedal setup or reostat! #f?ck,fight, and weld pipe

What number rods were you using the first pass with 1/16th rods ?

I like the honest review 🤙🏽 I’m looking forward to fixing a trailer I have half way built that was given to me. This might be the welding machine to finish off the project. Just to haul trash or junk nothing too heavy. Could you do a video on the machine running on 110?I would like to see it running on 110 since I don’t have 220 plug outside my house. That would really help in deciding if this is the machine to get. Plus affordable (cheap) too. Thanks great n funny video 😆
