Revised Video Review of Old Spice Shave Cream & Wilkinson Sword Brush. 

My 86 year old father passed away in February. Cleaning out his shaving stuff, I found 3 *OLD* bottles of Old Spice aftershave. What a find !

Great shave Ken. I'll have to give that Old Spice cream a try. Soap Commander's "Endurance" scent would be right up your alley. It smells like the original 1938 Shulton Old Spice and yes they do have a matching aftershave balm to go with it.

Voskhod means sunrise. Many things were called Voskhod in USSR. From blades, to passenger hydrofoil vessels and spacecrafts. You can even see it depicted in the soviet states' coat of arms. I think it is linked to the idea of revolution in 1917. Kinda sunrise of new life.

great shave again Ken! Those Voskhod blade work great on my face! Fills like i can do no wrong no matter what razor i use. But I do have to change the blade for my head shaves. just not sharp enough for my cranium.

So....this is what the Soviet Union did with the old Voskhod rockets...made a few million metric tons of DE razor blades out of that Orbital Space Program from the 1960's...classic! Ken you keep reviewing shave creams, soaps and brushes...that Old Spice looks nice...my Amazon Wish List is bursting!

Great shave! I was looking through my grandmother's closet in August of 2018 looking through my late grandpa's stuff (he passed in 1983 so I never met him) and tried to find his safety razor. Didn't find it but low and behold I found a full bottle of vintage Old Spice!!! I haven't had the courage to use it yet! The smell is alright but I don't know what vintage Old Spice smells like. Is it usable? It was probably sitting in a dark closet in a chest for however many years.

I think the Wilkinson brush is available on walmart .com, they also have the Wilkinson soap (don't bother...).

Love the Old Spice in a tube from India. Works really well, and the after shave splash is great. Burns like hell, but the fragrance is fantastic. Compared to the US market version, it's alot more intense and powerful. I'd think it would be too much for most folks....anyhoo, glad you liked it!!

Glad your health good. It's a very classic man thing to get some basic calisthenics in with a shave. Add 3 sets of push ups and squats to your day. It helps the body process sugar and clears the mind.

My guess is that the Voskhod blades are named after the spacecraft like the Sputnik blades are.

Where did you get the original Old Spice from? I've only been able to use the modern version. My dad used Old Spice all the time so now I'm continuing the tradition.

I own a red tip but my OCD wants to add a blue and flare tip to complete the trio. Which do you prefer Ken, vintage or modern razors?

I get zero old spice scent from the shaving cream, it smells like normal bar soap. In the future I'm going to add some Old Spice aftershave to it for some scent

What on earth could be controversial about a shave video?

The VOSKHOD blade is Russian, means Sun Rise. The Old Spice Cream in 70gr. would be great in the travle kit for airlines. Good lather. The Old Spice Aftershave Original smells a bit like Cinnamin to me. Like it, reminds me of my grandfather when I was kid. Have considered buying the Wilkenson Sword Brush, how has it held up? Good Video.

HERE IS AN EASY WAY TO DO IT MY FRIENDs" I Do any Shave Pucks or hard Soaps are going to work? You can mix and match old Soaps? to fit in any Mugs or Cups that you like to use. Like (Mitchells' Wool Fat or Arko Shave Soaps just to name a few of the ones you could use?) Cut the bar soap up on a paper plate, pour the soap, shavings and chunks from your plate into a mug, cover the soap with a small amount of water, microwave the cup, put your paper plate under your cup in case it bubbles out of your cup? for a minute or so? If it foams up, STOP. The water keeps it from burning itself up. (DON'T OVER WATER YOUR SOAP??) Easy, does it? Let cool don't want to Crack the Mugs or Cups you're using? (You just want it to Congeal in your Mug or Cup') it is very hot and watery'''''. let it cool in place. after it cools, put it in the Sun, until the Soap hardens? When using your soaps, use Dry Brush Less Water. It thickens the soap, making it easier to use on your face. For its (Price Point?)' (I use Dove Bar Soaps?) (the Use any Soaps Out there ??) Save your Money, spend it on your wife, don't listen to the shave Mafia. I have been doing this for the last 20 years. Ken What's the date on the bottom of your tube of shaving cream or on the box. You have a different design on your tube than I do. I bought mine last year. Mine smells more like a combination of suntan lotion and chemicals than it does Old Spice.
